  1. says you. And I can live with that, so long as its as a good middle reliever
  2. 4.2IP of scoreless relief. The pen is looking nicely early on
  3. he found a nut a couple games ago too
  4. I dont get it. This guy is leaving all of his pitches down the middle and we're swinging like he's throwin 99.
  5. the guy who just threw a 1-2-3 inning
  6. thats why its not full of rookies
  7. Leadoff walk for the pest
  8. It really is amazing how much velocity Ohlie picked up as a reliever. He apparently threw 90s in college, then was converted to the rotation, where he sat high 80s-90. Now that he's back in the pen, he's throwing 95 mph sinkers. Wow.
  9. We get to see another rookie reliever in Ohlendorf now. Kid throws smoke, just has an issue locating his offspeed stuff.
  10. Albaladejo has a nice heavy ball and a good curve. Its too bad he will be heading to Scranton tomorrow.
  11. He was last yr. Look at the numbers... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stats?statsId=7534
  12. HR Stairs. The Sox are runnin out of time. Accardo is lights out.
  13. One bad game from the kid. He wasnt getting the corners and instead of manning up and gutting it out, he went into a shell. We'll see how he recovers. BTW, the yankee bats have arrived. 6-4
  14. Marcum vs Wakefield Marcum was 12-6 with a 4.13ERA last yr. He started 2 games vs the sox last yr, and in those games, he was 1-0 in 11IP giving up 12H, walking 4 and striking out 8. Wakefield was 17-12 with a 4.76 ERA last yr. In 5 starts against Toronto last yr, he was 3-2 with a 3.38ERA in 32IP. He gave up 31H, walked 8 and struck out 18. The major matchups for these two teams involve.... Frank Thomas (12 for 48 with 6HR and a .988OPS) vs Wakefield and Manny Ramirez (3 for 6 with 2HR) vs Marcum Should be a fun game.... Go JAYS!!
  15. f***in a. Dude, I always work. You know the drill. 2yrs 2months, 26 days til freedom.
  16. the white sox suck. f*** em
  17. ball in dirt or ball in stands
  18. blast from the past.
  19. I wont even try. Hughes was very solid tonight and is a better pitcher now than Moose is, no question. The FB wasnt really there velocity wise, but it was cold and he was locating what he had on the black. He did hit 95 on his final FB of the night, so it is there. Plus he was hitting 95 regularly in ST. Regardless, his curveball was very good today, and he held his composure with an ump that had a roving zone.
  20. I taped the game. And while he wasnt fantastic or even terribly good, he was better than I thought he would be. Plus, the first 3 hits off him were dinkers. No matter how you try to slice it, you wont be able to convince me that he was awful, because he wasnt. Especially compared to the many awful performances he put up last yr.
  21. He wasnt ace-like or very good. But 3ER over 5.2IP while not getting the crap kicked out of him is not too bad. Go watch the tape if you want to talk about piles of excuses. Overbay and Rios both should have been K'd in their walks and the first 3 hits off Moose hardly had enough gas to reach the OFer. I'm not rewriting history here, it is an accurate account of what happened. He didnt resemble the Moose from last yr. You know, the guy who'd get ahead of a hitter then give up a missile. He got ahead, but the missiles didnt come until Wells hit one into the seats.
