  1. Varitek has been getting run on all yr and he cannot stop it.
  2. how bout Heathcliffe Slocumb. Killa warrior of the past who netted you DLowe and the ultimate warrior Varitek
  3. Home field and a 7 game series, and I think we take both the sox and the angels. Every time we lost to the Angels, they had the better pen and rotation AND it was a 5 game series. This yr, we have the better pen and rotation and if we run into them, it will be in a 7 gamer
  4. who's gagging now?
  5. So the yankees even win when Meat Tray is pitching. Friggin awesome. 31 games over .500 and continuing to fly full throttle. Joba-AJ-CC for the next 3 with Gaudin finishing the west coast trip sounds like we could take 3 of 4. Really nice to be in pinstripes these days
  6. I have always said that buzzing the tower is part of the game and I wont back off from that. Typically, you need a reason and from a guy who has no control to start with, I'd find it hard to believe that it was intentional. Cause he is the kind of guy who would try to hit a batter and miss off the outside corner

  8. Yeah, and the Yankees are 4-2 in games started by Sergio Mitre, but nobody clamoring for him to be starting any more than he already is. W/L with a player in the lineup is absurd, especially when that player sucks as much as Nick Green does.
  9. Penny implosion looming. He looks pretty bad thus far. His FB must be straight as ever and very easy to pick up. Cause I havent seen such an easily hit 96mph fastball since Farnsworth was on our team
  10. is tek in the 7 hole? If he is, you could expand that to 7-8-9
  11. well, they used all their outs, but they finally hit something with RISP. Seemed like they left multiple guys on base almost every inning
  12. with the way he's managing the lineup, once Sept gets here, the division will be out of sight let alone out of reach and he'll be behind in the Wild Card.
  13. Millwood is tapdancing through machine gun fire. ... ... ... I know you guys have been waiting for me to say that again
  14. this might be the most expensive draft ever for a team picking outside the top 10. They got a TON of talent
  15. Younginer is a great signing, kid throws ched
  16. Who? There arent any available on the FA market, unless you consider Jack Wilson a good SS. The SS market is WAY down and the best ones are either locked in (Hanley, Jeter) or so young that they are cost controlled (Andrus, Escobar). The sox may be stuck looking for a defense first SS for the short term while giving Lowrie a shot at developing.
  17. The gap may widen as well, depending on this offseason. There is a ton of money coming off the books and another pitcher available, so we'll see if the yankees enter that bidding war (Lackey). Getting Lackey would be more of an upgrade than getting Holliday, IMO, since it would give us a front 3 that would be unrivalled in baseball with Joba and Hughes in the 4 and 5 slot. That rotation would be f***ing sick
  18. Because we offered them what they wanted, pitching. Marquez and Nunez were exactly what they wanted. Not sure why, as both project to relief, but to each his own.
  19. Over Nick Green, he is better defensively mostly because Green has no range, hands or accurate arm. I just think that they got a guy for past performances on the cheap hoping that he can regain his form.
