    Jordan wasnt just he best player in the game, he was the closer, the distributor, the marketer's dream, etc. They could have won 8 consecutive if he didnt retire to play baseball. He was that good. In the playoffs, he wasnt going to be beaten once he perfected his game. The NBA needed the Celts and Lakers, but they really need another Bird-Magic. Transcendant players on marquee teams who both are winners. Kobe is that player in LA. Lebron was supposed to be that player, but he has been surrounded by such a pile of s*** that he hasnt had the supporting cast to help.

    It happens, regardless, the yankees will be back up by a comfortable margin within the next 3 weeks. Of all the seasons, this is the one I feel most confident in.

    Graham Stoneburner continues to dominate. He has now thrown 24.2 consecutive scoreless innings after another 7 inning shutout performance last night. He's not even being challenged in Tampa

    Any word on his stuff, ORS? When he came up to the bigs last yr, his stuff was markedly worse than what it was the yr prior.

    Keeper, I am noticing a trend with Burnett. When he is terrible, it isnt for lack of stuff. His pitches have so much movement that he can have too much stuff and be detrimental to his location. His pitches were moving out of the zone the entire game, making walks plentiful and eventually requiring him to come in with 4 seamers that were crushed. On days he lights up the radar gun with 95-97mph, he seems to struggle IMO. And last night, at least the YES gun had him throwing harder than I have seen all yr.

    Dojji, Bowden's stuff took a pretty serious hit last yr. The guy who came up to the bigs last yr was not a top prospect, but more of a AAAA caliber pitcher. If he regained his stuff, then dropping him was premature. But based on his early performance, he probably didnt.

    Best name in the draft. The kid has a lot of leverage though. Throws pretty good, but has another two yrs IIRC of eligibility and was drafted low
