  1. But lets say the sox dont make the playoffs based on 1 game. Let's just put that out there. Would Wagner have been worth the playoff appearance?
  2. They will have a higher win % in the second half. Book it
  3. of course you would. Wagner on the sox team has them in 1st
  4. Awesome. Bout f***ing time
  5. 1 for 26 now with RISP, and the hit doesnt bring a run home
  6. We cannot be any worse with RISP
  7. I doubt it YS. NY is always a second half team
  8. On the contrary, middle relief is incredibly HARD to fix at the deadline. It is a common need for teams, so mediocre pitchers end up having an incredible price tag affixed to them. Those deadline deals typically are the ones you look back on yrs later as the worst deals of all time
  9. I was talking #2 in the draft kind of money, which is typically around $5 million
  10. Papelbon is getting the O's to swing at the high FB again. They dont have a prayer if they keep doing that
  11. Watch this. Paps will blow the save, then the O's will walk in the winning run in the bot of the 9th
  12. This would be massive money. We're talking $5-$6 million
  13. And the orioles are ready to lose again, Wow
  14. 5 days off in a row is what I have too. I just dont know what to do with myself, I now have a ton of time off
  15. Bosh, Wade are in Chicago with their agents and Chicago management. LeBron just met with Chicago. There is a rumor out there that they will all take matching salaries on short term deals to try to win the big one
  16. If he is throwing like he did prior to this season, then he deserves it. He was ranked as the #2 guy in the draft behind Harper prior to his season, then he had his arm trouble. Word is, he is throwing really well this summer.
  17. Bases loaded, not outs, ARod, Cano and Posada up and we dont score. That was the game right there. Also, Girardi likes to try guys for multiple innings when they arent accustomed to it. Robertson hadnt done it this yr, has a good inning #1 then gets whalloped in inning #2. He had 2 f***ing long men in the pen, getting more than 1 inning out of Robertson wasnt necessary
  18. Great game from AJ, only to be spoiled by Joba. Joba really needs to get sent down. His stuff is ridiculous, but his approach flat out sucks
  19. Just looked at the numbers. The sox relievers after Paps and Bard have a combined line of... 139IP 166H 85ER 70BB 113K 5.50ERA 1.70WHIP Their bridge exploded
  20. If you throw enough s*** against the wall, eventually it will stick. I think this could be insurance for Okajima, since he's been hideous this yr. The sox need a lefty reliever who can get lefties out, especially against teams like TB (Pena), NYY (Granderson, Cano, Gardner), and Minnesota (Mauer, Morneau, Kubel). Thing about Hill is, he is a pretty mentally fragile pitcher, and Boston probably isnt the right place for someone of his ilk
  21. Might be due to options, though. Remember, there are some guys you can call up and option back down. Then there are guys who once called up, have to be passed through waivers to send back down
  22. The sox best friend right now is the unrest in the Rays clubhouse. Even if the sox play .500 ball for the next 4-6 weeks, they'll be right in it for the WC
  23. If the sox keep winning, then Tito should win manager of the century
  24. Travis Dean has NOT signed per a report at scout.com. But the best name in the draft did sign with the Yankees today. 32nd rounder Kramer Sneed
  25. He's 20 yrs old in AA. All prospects hit a bump in the road at some point, you'd rather his be in AA than in the bigs
