  1. Everyone has been saying that we have four potential Aces, Beckett, Matsuzaka, Papelbon, and Schilling, so which one do you think will overacheive and become our Ace next year? I think Matsuzaka, he has incredible sheer talent, and if Nomo had a Cy Young year with two pitches it's safe to say Mats will be amazing too. Who are you thinking?:dunno:
  2. Did you hear there were complaints from the FCC about the half-time show this year? I guess if you really look for it, when Prince was rocking as a Silhouette his guitar looked like a penis. The FCC is a joke.
  3. He really did give an autograph to whomever too. My dad showed me a picture and autograph he sent him after he mailed him and asked that he not retire that year. It'll be all mine later i imagine. He also got an autograph from Nellie Fox, his favorite player.
  4. Yeah, i got it, impressive. But yeah he is a High School player. I dont think hes been to any prospect tournaments, but i'm pretty sure he made it pretty far in a White Sox training camp or something along those lines.
  5. Scaffolds, have you heard of Cory Ege of Iowa. He lives near me and he is a very good pitcher. I don't know if he has any Big league Potential but i thought it would be cool if a guy i knew did.
  6. Will it even matter? i read on SOSH that Daisuke picks his pitches and won't let a catcher do anything but catch. Is that true? if so you think he will change his ways?
  7. I threw like a girl, so i mostly saw the bench. When i was younger my dad would spend hours trying to help me throw right but all it did was get me afraid of the ball because hed hit me with it. He gave up and i hated baseball until 5 years ago or so. I could hit quite well though.
  8. its like a barren wasteland.
  9. Get ready to bust a gut. The Linky to Joke
  10. So im assuming that the final score is the one that counts?
  11. Nevermind i looked at the other thread, and since it requires, and i have, no knowledge of football, I'm In.
  12. Not being here a year ago how does this work?
  13. Lol.......wow
  14. I have a few degrees seperation with Roger Clemens. In this area of my state, There was a big CABA tournament where some of the best baseball teams of kids ten and under, from all over the world came to play in a World Series. I guess Roger Clemen's kid, i'd assume the kid whos with the Astros, played in the game and Roger cussed up a storm whenever he didnt like something. So around three degrees of seperation for me.
  15. If it were to come down to Zito vs Matsuzaka its not much of an option. With Zito you know what youre going to get, with Mats theres going to be some excitement/ulcers.
  16. Lowell, Tavares, Clement, and theyre willing to eat some of the salary? So much for a used condom, we need to not let this get away.
  17. My dad got tickets to the May 4th, 5th, and 6th series at the Metrodome, Its no Fenway but its the Sox. Hopefully there isnt a repeat of most of their games last year.
  18. Manny Papi Timlin Schilling Wakefield Varitek ............
  19. Thats going to happen wherever people are passionate about their sports. One could almost feel proud that their city supports their team that much. Is it better then not caring about the incident? I don't blame Buckner though. Mookie was fast, and no one was really covering 1st. But to say an entire city sucks based on an incident is assinine. EDIT: Im not old enough to know, but to the elders, if you felt some serious anger towards Buckner, has he been forgiven now?
  20. A little off topic but i believe Sporting News also ranked Rotations recently with The Sox at number 2 and the Yankees at 5 or 6. Detroit was first.
  21. I think he was referring to the small playoff sample size.
