  1. Salty's at bat looks very different with the runner on third, don't kid yourself.
  2. With a strikeout already under his belt, obviously he's not see Laffey well. The best swing of the at bat was the foul he hit up the right field line-- at least he had the right idea. Agree to disagree on this one.
  3. s***** at bat from WMB. In a one run game after a leadoff double you gotta move Agon to third. Wasted at bat.
  4. Gentlemen, Laffey has his stuff tonight and as they say, "Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then." Give the guy some credit. He's pitching to contact and has pinpoint control over two pitches. The good news is that DiceK's stuff is equally effective tonight. I'm actually enjoying a well-pitched game on both sides for a change.
  5. Laffey is absolutely painting the outside corner and has good late movement on his cutter.
  6. Are we watching the same game? Dice-K looks good. He wiggled out of the 1st, is working quickly, picked a runner off first and has a real good break on his off speed pitches. Looks fine to me.
  7. Haven't been in the "in game" for a while, just checking in to say hello. Thinking Lillibridge gets the start only to see if he can hit lefties, McD the same, otherwise there is no need to keep them around. DiceK, well, we know the game won't be speedy...
  8. Yes Red, but you are a "sane" RS fan from the sounds of it. Mark my words, the first time young Middlebrooks puts up an 0-20 streak there will be folks lamenting this "trade" (if that's what you can call it.)
  9. For some unknown reason, I actually read every post in this thread. I don't have much to add other than to say the Youk was one of the first Red Sox players my daughter got to know. We watch every game together and have chanted in harmony, "Youuuuuk," countless times. It's the end of an era. I truly hope that he goes on a tear and that we regret this trade. Everyone all in on young Middlebrooks? Wonder what the chatter will be when he slumps, which he inevitably will.
  10. I enjoy watching Sholwalter scowl. Does that make me a bad person?
  11. I'm right with you mate. I hope for these periodic stretches of doom just to cull out the bs "fans."
  12. That's the real stuff, right there.
  13. Gentlemen, you are welcome.
  14. I'm seeing more of Buck Showalter tonight than I did when he was on ESPN!
  15. Since I'm checking in from New Zealand, I'll take credit for Jacoby's inside the parker... if you don't mind.
  16. True. I like him though, he competes.
  17. Relax. Morales did his job. He's better with men on base anyway.
  18. Hey, checking in from vacation in New Zealand. Wanted to talk to some real sox fans who know that this is just a little tough patch they are going through. Listening on WEEI.
