    Our Pen is not in bad shape. Papelbon only pitched on FRI. Timlin will get a day off today. We still have Foulke for the 8th..Paps for the 9th. Tavarez can give you the 7th..he has a rubber arm. So really, all we need is 5 from Lenny...and we can hold our breath for a 1-2-3 6th inning from Seanez;).

    the part that sucks about this inning is Dinardo was out of it..all he had to do was field a ground ball and make a good throw.. now he is at 30 pitches..and we will be fortunate to get 5 innings out of him..assuming he is effective while he is in there....Yes..good job Lenny.

    It would be nice to get a sweep today going into the series against the Yankees. I am not counting on it..but I don't think it's inconceivable. I am honestly not too worried about the Yankees. This year more than any in recent memory, if we just play our game...we will be just fine. We have the defense, the pen, and solid starting pitching. Of course, I would like to get Coco and Wells back.. no offense to Lenny, but he is best served being a long man at this point.

    with Tavarez as our #4 reliever...we have a damn solid bullie. This guy gives implodes once in awhile...but his sinker really is a devastating pitch. When Both he and Timlin have the good sink going..they are grounball inducing machines. I really like our pen alot.

    7 IP 3 ER.,...still not a bad start... I think he should havce been pulled after the Abreu walk. That being said..Howard's was a POP-up..that place is a band-box. Also...J.T. Snow needs to be traded immediatley.. It is obvious he isn't into being a defensive replacement and he IS letting him affect his play.. That may be hist 1st error..but he has had a couple of borderline errors, that he was given the benefit of the doubt on because of his defensive reputation. Bring up Choi..Snow is toast.

    RIV is a clown. This will be sweeter when the Mets win in the bottom half..against MO..no less. LOL. This is the kind of loss that kills..you fought back with a 4 spot in the 9th, only to lose.

    I thought you said Melky was a good outfielder? LOL. He turns singles into doubles on a regular basis. So we have aterrible fielder...and a singles hitter in Melky? Wow..he is impressive..lolol. He couldn;t even start at Pawtucket..face it..he is a JOBBER!
