    This is different. Sure he was kind of a whiny bitch on the way out, but he was one of the most productive hitters in baseball for 7 1/2 years with us, and helped us win 2 World Series. He'll always have that going for him.

    Kilo, if you're watching the game now, stop. It will only make things worse. (EDIT: Written before Pedroia's hit). Seriously though, I disagree. The Red Sox are a really talented team. After today we'll be 2 games back in the East and 2 games up in the WC assuming the Twins lose. Thats not ideal, but its not a horrible situation. Our pythag puts us 5 games above both TB and NYY. But you probably already know that. Just look on the bright side: we have 2 months of baseball left, and if the season ended now, we'd be in the playoffs. Plenty of time.
