  1. Not to get too ahead of ourselves but I would put Ellsbury lower until he earns the ABs, and give more ABs to more productive players. For example: Pedroia Drew Ortiz Tex Youk Bay Lowrie Catcher Ellsbury Again though, let's not count the chickens.
  2. Sure it is.
  3. Funny you mention that... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a34/BSMemorial/Picture2-4.png
  4. We knew one of Jackson and Sonnanstine would probably get dealt, but I thought the Rays could have gotten more.
  5. So THAT'S what he meant when he said he didn't care about the hair.
  6. Lugo isn't even a starter anymore, but would you take Jeter over Lowrie defensively?
  7. Probably 8x20. Seems about right, and I really want this guy.
  8. Phillies got Ronny Paulino from Pittsburgh for Jason Jaramillo. http://www.delawareonline.com/blogs/2008/12/dec-10-heres-deal-phils-acquire-catcher.html
  9. Some do it a lot better than others. For example, almost everyone does it better than Derek Jeter.
  10. I disagree, he deserves blame for that. He signed an aging, injury prone pitcher for four years and he only earned his salary for one of them. If you can't judge a GM on the quality of the players he acquires, what do you judge him on?
  11. Yeah I would call both the Pedro and Matsui deals negatives for Minaya. It's a little too early to judge the KRod deal.
  12. Ah yes, I was rearing back to when I assumed one of Mussina/Pettitte would be re-signed.
  13. Reyes and Wright made their MLB debut before Minaya was hired. As for internal positives, he drafted Mike Pelfrey in 2005 (1st round) and Daniel Murphy (13) and Joe Smith (3) in 2006. Not that much to write home about.
  14. lol
  15. Well, he was right.
  16. Diarrhea of the keyboard!
  17. Wait, so is this thread legit?
  18. When he gets banned next time, balloons fall from the ceiling. And LMAO at best team in history, considering they have a very good chance at not even making the playoffs (not at shot at the Yankees as much as praising the ALE).
  19. As for the Aceves/5 spot argument, it's probably moot. The Yankees had a goal of getting 2 starters and I still think they are intent on this.
  20. Check the above post. There's no contract but there is an agreement. EDIT: Contract is 6/140, my bad.
  21. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20081210&content_id=3710546&vkey=hotstove2008&fext=.jsp
  22. I saw CC Sabathia was going to the Yankees and I JIZZED. IN. MY. PANTS.
  23. How long did that post take you?
