    Positional value is another good point. A 6-9 of Varitek, Ellsbury, Lowrie and Green is...not good.

    I like the kid, but last year he had a below average offensive year, and it's hard to imagine him coming back strong as soon as he comes back.

    Lowrie and Green/Lugo on the left side of the infield is an offensive nightmare. I'm in favor of a trade.

    We already have two backup outfielders on the roster. Carter's only played 11 games at 1B in the past two years (all in AAA), while Bailey spends the majority of his time there.

    I like the deal for Pittsburgh. IMO Milledge has a much higher ceiling than Morgan. Burnett has been significantly better than Hanrahan, but Hanrahan is going to improve. He has a better K/9, BB/9 and HR/9 than his previous career averages, the only problem is the hits. This should improve, since he has a .451 BABIP.
