  1. Haha I felt personally betrayed by that.
  2. Wow I sure made this thread fast! All Twins pitchers are TBD because I'm not sure of how they'll line up the rotation. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/85/2009ALDS.gif http://www.cheerfulgivers.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/twins-logo.jpg v. http://www.newyorkhabitat.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/nyy-logo.png Minnesota Twins (87-76) at New York Yankees (103-59) Game Matchup Day Date Time ET TV Gm 1 MIN @ NYY Wed Oct. 7 6:07 p.m. TBS Gm 2 MIN @ NYY Fri Oct. 9 6:07 p.m. TBS Gm 3 NYY @ MIN Sun Oct. 11 TBD TBS Gm 4* NYY @ MIN Mon Oct. 12 TBD TBS Gm 5* MIN @ NYY Wed Oct. 14 TBD TBS Pitching Matchups: Brian Duensing (5-2, 3.64 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 53 K) v. 3. Twinkies win.

  5. Girl who coughed into her arms on TV just now=Emmz.
  6. 3 more outs for the Twins' season...
  7. Maybe my definition of irony is off, but I don't think so.
  8. BECAUSE THERE'S ONLY ONE OCTOBER. THAT'S WHY IIIIIIII LOOOOVE THIIIIS TOWN!
  9. Not confusing, thank you. I'd probably rather start Blackburn on 3 days rest than Duensing or Manship. If I was a Twins fan with one of them starting Game 1 in New York, I would literally be sick. Thank you, that sucks for the Twins.
  10. That's the difference between a 3 man rotation and a 4 man rotation. AKA, the difference between CC and Joba in Game 4.
  11. Possibly. Pavano (lol) has better numbers though. Is Slowey hurt?
  12. If the Twins win, what is their playoff rotation? 1-? 2-Blackburn 3-Baker 4-? 5-Blackburn Help!
  13. To be fair, Gardenhire is a pretty poor in-game manager. At least IMO.
  14. I think Harden would be guaranteed a rotation spot if he came here. Opening day's rotation would be: Lester, Beckett, Buchholz, Matsuzaka, Harden. Guys like Bowden and Tazawa would be used for injury insurance (with Matsuzaka and Harden, this is an important role), and bullpen help.
  15. Interesting comment about the bullpen. I don't know much about conversion from starter to reliever (as in what traits are best), but I would imagine having a huge K/9 ratio would help. I know it does for closer. If so, Harden has averaged around 11 K/9 the past two years. Of course as you said, he may not be willing to. Either way, he's probably more useful as a starter, and that's what we would need him to do the most.
  16. Hey, you're not so bad yourself. *Ahem* Back on topic...
  17. The Tigers hitters seemed to be late on a lot of those pitches.
  18. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2009/10/yankees_chose_l.html No surprise, but the Yankees choose the longer series, so the Sox begin Thursday.
