But the plan is for the team to be transformed into mostly a home grown team. There will of course be a few positions that they need to fill in via free agency, but thats the long term plan for this team. Obviously, prospects coming up are not going to have large contracts so thats why the payroll gets cut.

I respect a lot of opinions on here, but I don't respect dumb posts such as "our bullpen is terrible" when thats not entirely true. The only scrubs out of the pen are Tavarez and Seanez.

I just heard that too. This definately bolsters the bullpen. Hopefully we won't have to see the likes of Seanez for awhile.

I'm not down like that idiot was, but last nights game should of been a win. We shouldn't be facing a scenario of getting swept tomorrow. I'm sorry if I seemed like an idiot after last nights loss, but those losses just frustrate me.

Theo when he went into his premature retirement stated that the transformation of the team will begin to happen beginning this season. Most of the players they've signed this year such as Loretta, Gonzalez, Seanez etc. are makeshift signings. I'm not trying to degrade Loretta and Gonzalez's value, but they are not part of the Red Sox future.

I'm always amused by fanbases who only come out to games, and only give a s*** about the team unless they're World Series bound. Examples: Toronto and Florida.
