  1. He walked Francoeur?
  2. Gameday has Hudson at 67 through three. I likes.
  3. Tek with the bases loaded...
  4. Bad AB by Papi. Need this run, Manny.
  5. Does Loretta even take pitches anymore?
  6. Nothing near the zone for Francoeur please.
  7. Nice inning for Lester. Runs please.
  8. Game he should win, but didn't get run support (what else is new?) My point was with the team in the funk they've been in they probably needed a little more from Wake, not the status quo. That's what makes it disappointing.
  9. Pauley cannot pitch on Monday.
  10. That's true, plus he's pitched in the AL before. If something like this comes up, you may have to do it. I would like to see Manny fetch a little more major league level talent, however. Edit - I say this because before this year, Luna was basically a bench player.
  11. Yeah, but Snyder may get the call on Monday.
  12. Mulder's track record speaks for itself, but a 5.32 ERA in the NL worries me a bit. Still, it'd be something to explore.
  13. 3 proven big leaguers. Lester will be around for a while now, and we might see more of Pauley or even Kyle Snyder now.
  14. I was seriously going to post this right after I read his post. I wouldn't be shocked if the Marlins asked for any of the combination of Hansen, Papelbon, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Lester, etc. Basically our best prospects. Edit - And the teams mentioned to be in the running for Willis could probably beat whatever package we put together, because the FO probably won't part with Papelbon or Hansen.
  15. Soooo...who gets Monday's Start? Pauley, Alvarez? Is Dinardo close to being back?
  16. Lester will come up big tonight. I really believe that. Sox win, 6-3.
  17. Wasn't it 4 ER in 6? Wake has been the second best starter after Schilling, but in a game where we needed him to pitch really well, he was markedly average. That, to me, is disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I love Wake. But he was sort of disappointing last night. Doesn't help that the offense continued to struggle as well.
  18. No. Because at the time we dealt our long man out of the bullpen for a guy who could hit 35-40 HRs consistently in a few years. But then again hindsight's 20/20.
  19. They need someone to sack up. Schilling did his job on Tuesday, but Clement and Wake were pretty disappointing. Here's hoping Lester is the stopper and they crush Atlanta tomorrow.
  20. Thanks, Julian. Would have been nicer on Tuesday.
