Curt Schilling doesn't do that either, right? If he was a Yankee you'd love him because he's a gamer. Running his mouth to the media I'll give you, I wish he wouldn't do that as often, but having someone who's opinionated and outspoken is not a bad thing. At least it's not the same boring, lifeless, no personality interview over and over again. Again, Schilling has been much of the same. He was the Cy Young in '04, IMO, helped deliver a title, and even closed last year when the team needed him to fit some role. Why is Varitek trash? Because he stood up for his pitcher? Varitek has a tremendous work ethic and doesn't mouth off to the media. He refuses to sign pictures of that ARod incident. I imagine he feels remorse towards it. To call him trash is BS.
