  1. Wily Mo could have done that.
  2. Coco matches Ibanez's cheap double. ALthough to be fair, that's a double due to Coco's speed.
  3. Someone needs to remind Raul Ibanez he sucks.
  4. Tek money. You sure love the GT's, don't you 25?
  5. True, but doesn't the old saying go the difference between a .280 hitter and a .300 hitter is one hit a week? I gotta think he sees one outside pitch a week. 3-2 on the Manny RBI groundout.
  6. If Ortiz could do that a little more, he'd be a complete (and .300) hitter.
  7. I'd feel a lot better if WMP was hitting now.
  8. Get the runs back. 27 pitches, not good.
  9. Lots of pitches to not have an out yet. edit - nvm
  10. i hate to be a pessimist, but if there was a game Lester ould get bombed in, it's this one. He's got so many off field distractions to deal with. Then again, Seattle's offense isn't great and they don't hit lefties well.
  11. His arm isn't good enough. WMP needs to improve the D.
  12. I'm a fan of Bubba Crosby. As long as he isn't on my team.
  13. This I can agree with, I'd just like to see them use more of Pena when Nixon is struggling. Get Trot some sessions with Papa Jack.
  14. Now that's funny. Brings a smile to my face.
  15. Fine, let me reword myself. He'd be a bench player, basically taking Pena's role from him. They'd switch roles.
  16. Trot plays a position where power is at a premium. He has 6 homeruns this year. That's one less than our "offensively inept" shortstop. Look, it's clear I'm not the biggest Trot Nixon fan. He just simply isn't getting the job done anymore as a starting RF. If he's willing to become a platoon player, hopefully with Pena, then resigning him wouldn't be a bad idea. But anyone who thinks Trot is the starting RF next year is kidding themselves. He hasn't had a XBH in close to a month. If it was anyone else in the starting lineup people would be screaming to bench him. But Trot gets a free pass because he's a "gamer" and he "plays hard." He isn't producing. Period.
  17. Who's being an ass? You say he hits for power when the Sox need it the most and then cite an example from three years ago. Not a really strong argument.
  18. You can take the rose colored glasses off at anytime now. The reason you don't offer this guy a nice contract is because he's old, gets injured often, and can't hit for power anymore. Not what you want out of a RF who hits in the 5 slot. Oh, by the way, '03 was three years ago, in case you haven't noticed. edit - Maybe someone with the stats can back this up, but isn't Trot considered to be, at best, an average defensive right fielder? I thought I remembered hearing that somewhere. It also annoys me how much of a free pass he gets because he has dirt on his hat and plays hard. Gimme a f***ing break.
  19. Tim Naehring.
  20. It wasn't funny the first time...
  21. Yea man. You know exactly what you're talking about.
  22. You honestly think Trot will hit twice as many homers in two months as he has in three and a half?
  23. And I hope it's not the person people are speculating people moving Tavarez for, Ray King.
