Very odd move until I can see what players are going back to Colorado....Oakland won't pay him after next season anyway. Very, very odd. I have a feeling it won't be the first time he's traded this offseason.

Adalius Thomas has made up for Vrabel/Bruschi losing a step this season - he can't blitz because of it (and I believe that was the best part of his game, lauded before he signed with NE). He's been tremendous, even though Mayo's getting all the pub.

Helps when you have the easiest schedule in the league. I said 10 wins before the season started, I'm changing that to 11. I see them losing Thursday and then to the Steelers.

I find it real difficult to believe the Bruins aren't better, top to bottom, than the Devils, Hurricanes, and Senators right now. Especially the Devils with Brodeur on the shelf for 4 months. Thomas is maddeningly inconsistent, so the key to solving the goaltending problem is to have a capable #2 when Thomas goes on one of his cold streaks (which could be due to fatigue, among other things). Problem is I don't feel Fernandez is that guy....I wonder if Rask is though.

I'm still wondering what you meant by "drop off"...do you really dispute that this Bruins team isn't the 4th or 5th best in the conference right now?

"Gonna come down to Earth" What does this mean? I think they're the 4th best team in the conference right now, behind Buffalo, NYR, and Les Habitants. No one is saying they're anything close to a Stanley Cup caliber team right now - but I do think they're better than last season, a season which saw the Bruins take the Canadiens to seven games.

This Bruins team is really a joy to watch...I was brought back in after Game 6 last season and have made a concerted effort to follow them this year.
