  1. They'll be awesome when they get Ference, Sturm, and Bergeron back. Maybe then we can Old Yeller Axellson and get Sobotka more playing time.
  2. If the Sox don't extend Bay I expect them to land both.
  3. You know you can put those numbers into a table, right?
  4. The Sox shouldn't be punished for taking on Byrnes' albatross of a deal, though. That's the benefit for the Dbacks.
  5. Theo didn't walk. From the article linked in the OP:
  6. Lucic just beat the s*** out of someone.
  7. Wideman has a goal and two assists tonight.
  8. lol if you're expecting Jacko to change now you're gonna be sorely disappointed.
  9. Big game vs. the Pittsburgh Crosby/Malkins tonight.
  10. Yeah I am not upset with the FO not signing Burnett. I've said it multiple times this offseason I hoped they sign him.
  11. It is a steep price, indeed. But this is Hanley Ramirez we are talking about. Even if you move him to CF you will get ELITE production out of that position. Imagine him denting the Monster 81 games a season?
  12. Peyton will win it, deservedly so IMO. Phillip Rivers would be #2 for me ahead of Brees.
  13. WOW Shanahan to NYC?
  14. The more I think about it the more this season pisses me off. The Packers went 6-10, but 7 of those losses were by 4 points or less. Falcons, 24-27 Titans, 16-19 Vikings, 27-28 Panthers, 31-35 Texans, 21-24 Jaguars, 16-20 Bears, 17-20 A couple of bounces here or there and you could be looking at a division winner. And every one of those losses was against a quality opponent except for Jacksonville. That was a game that they looked like crap after having three straight close and heartbreaking losses to the aforementioned teams (MIN, CAR, HOU) which effectively ended their season. Falcons 11-5 Titans 13-3 Vikings 10-6 Panthers 12-4 Texans 8-8 Jaguars 5-11 Bears 9-7 Total 68-44 (.607) So 7 losses of 4 points or less with 6 teams being .500 or better.
  15. If Boldin leaves, the 49ers could be the favorites to win that division.
  16. Can't believe I missed this post earlier. Captures my feelings exactly.
  17. You keep Lester and Anderson who are arugably their two biggest chips right now for a superstar, nay, an ELITE talent entering his prime. Please remember Ramirez is younger than Ellsbury.
  18. Ellsbury, Buchholz, Exposito, Bowden
  19. Welcome to the board, holmes. Stick around.
  20. What? The Sox would trade Ellsbury to the Marlins and Hanley would become the Red Sox CF.
  21. The article said they were looking at Hanley to be their CF.
  22. FYI I have no beef with anyone on this board as long as they can liven the discussion, something Dojji seems to miss.
  23. That may have very well been the case, but it's not how it happened. I was more upset with Henry's email than anything else.
  24. I totally agree that Hanley Ramirez would be the deal to make if they are so concerned about not spending coin on big time FAs. Let's see what this FO can come up with....a Halladay or Hanley trade would make me look like an idiot and I'd be glad to be made as such.
