    If it's not Kessel, it's the depth, which is a pretty big knock as well. I'll believe that Chia can sign TT, Kessel, Krejci, Bitz, and Hunwick when it happens - and not a second earlier.

    Who am I going to blame on the offense? Michael Ryder? Lucic for waiting til Game 5 to show up? Stone Hands Kobasew? Sometimes you need your goalie to bail the offense out. To let that kind of goal in with the season on the line...infuriating.

    Travis Hafner? Richie Sexson? Mo Vaughn? Cecil Fielder? All depends on your definition of a "rebound". If you think he can still sport an .850-.900 OPS I think that's way too optimistic.

    I disagree - if the player makes it to the major leagues he will be paid handsomely enough to find his own connections - it's just a matter of covering your tracks (which MR did not do).

    I don't buy the injury excuse - this team was deeper and better than the Hurricanes, and they lose to them on home ice in Game 7 Thomas had a good game, kept the team in it in the 2nd - but what a terrible, terrible way to end it. Such is the nature of TT, good enough to keep you competitive but never good enough to win the whole thing. Incredibly frustrating. Chiarelli has some work to do.

    Doesn't matter, he still had the prescription for it. If he wasn't using it, why would he not appeal the suspension? HE ADMITTED TO USING IT.

    It's a drug that steroid users take to regulate testosterone levels coming off a cycle - it's about the worst substance he could have tested positive for outside of steroids.

    He's already out of the lineup tonight. Ortiz has to be given the chance to turn it around, frustrating as it is. Even though there's no real impact, can't really justify hitting him 3rd right now.

    I just don't see it - Bruins had two things going for them this season - incredible young talent (Krejci, Kessel, Wheeler, Bitz even) and incredible depth (when a guy like Patrice Bergeron is your 3rd line C, that says something). Both will be sacrificed due to the TT deal. Can't make the Cam Ward excuse - if TT is the guy all his fanboys say he is, he needs to do that very thing.

    Tim Thomas had a mediocre series. He didn't show up in Game 2, Game 3 OT, Game 4, or game 7 OT. The Wings would win the cup with Thomas in net because they're pretty much an all-star team on the ice and have tons of veteran leadership. Their offense is dynamite and they have the best defenseman in the game, so they dont NEED a strong goalie. Bruins don't have that. What they have is a guy who will make the spectacular save and then let in the crushing soft goal - he did it in Game 7 last year and he did it in Game 7 this year. Paying Thomas that kind of coin - he doesn't have the resume to justify it.
