Geez, why is harris in center again tonight. Can we please get Mohr some consistant ab's. He did very well in ST with constant ab's, i would like to see what he could do now. Oh a bright side, shill struck out his first guy:D

I was gone (in the middle of nowhere) over the weekend so i missed fri and sat games--and saw a bit of sunday's via tivo, then a day off-----------------bout time we had another game:D I was starting to go through withdrawls!!

-Ok, well Harris in CF better be just a temp thing. If coco is out an extended period of time then they need to either bring stern back up or play mohr there on a regular basis. --there is no way harris will be there for long! -Youk will play at first provided he is healthy, so snow is just playing the eyechart role this year! -Bard, in my opinion, will be fine. Belli started worse when he caught wake at the beggining. I think he will become more comfortable catching him, and he's already been ok at the plate -Dinardo has had one good and one bad start--so let's hold off on him for now. A lot ot things could happen with this spot in the rotation: clemens, paps, ect.... down the road. -Gonzo at short is a def hole in the lineup, but his D is stellar. I think we are noticing him more now becuase of the other holes in the lineup. If we get back to normal with coco at the top and youk dropping down, we minimize his bat and i think we will be fine. If there is a chance to upgrade cheap, then we can cross that bridge when we come to it. (come on Theo, bring o-cab back:D ) -

and let's not forget that homerun was the one that bounced out of pena's glove and over the wall! He should have caught it!!!!

Well i look at it like getting oritz on base 4-5 times a game with manny coming up next. Now if manny is struggling, then it's tougher to do. However if manny is, well being manny---then teams would not want to concede a runner on for manny every time up! Some of the shifts we are seeing have 4 outfielders to cut off the gaps so any "hit" he gets will only be a single if it doesn't leave the yard. Why not lay one down and get on every time. All of this is moot of course if there is someone on base when he comes up!

Well i was out of town over the weekend and missed the beckett and dinardo starts (got to see sunday's game on DVR). With that said i would still rather have dinardo over wells. From what i heard (again didn't see it) dinardo got shelled, but that's one game in which he got shelled--and one game in which he did well. Wells has gotten shelled in every outing he's had up until now. Dinardo could do well, and could fall off-----but wells is falling apart, not getting any younger, and loves the yanks---so ya i would still rather have dinardo!

Concede nothing, if there is no-one on base then i want him to lay one down. He has proven that he can and if he can get on everytime for manny----------then i like our chances

The funny thing is I was thinking of starting a thread on this topic for the last couple weeks!!! Anyway I would love to see Ortiz lay down a bunt everytime they put the s*** on. I would want him to do this when there is no-one on base of course, but i think a few games where he is getting on base every AB, and things would change! If he doesn't do it, then there is no reason for them to change unless we have people on base!

Glad to hear this is finally over----although i would have liked it to be at Fenway permanently!

Youk will be good all year if he stays healthy. He plays the game the right way (9th inning ab on patriots day:D ) He paid his dues in AAA and is now in the show---I think his D at first is what has impressed me the most! -- he has dug out a lot of balls that Millar would have missed last year! Our infield is getting a lot of credit for their D, but let's not forget that without Youk digging a lot of those throws, they don't look as good!

I def saw a different interview than you (there are a few floating around on NESN). The one that i saw had him ballwashing the yanks. I really don't have a problem with his love fest with the yanks----i do have a problem when he does it as a member of the sox! Let him love the yanks in retirement!

Wow, hard to believe. What's really hillarious about this is the fact that now when there is a day game on the guys from "the big show" won't be able to leave early to watch the game. They have always gotten that time off becuase of the broadcast coming up on WEEI,,,,now they will have to always do their jobs. Anyway, WEEI is good--i listen online and don't mind "dale and holley" and "the big show" (sometimes i can't stand it though). I hope they keep the same announcers!

Well now that he has all this time off, mabey he can work on his feet first slides!!!! Anyway I don't care how long it takes---------errr, well i do care but i would just rather them take all the time they need to make sure he is 100%. Better to have him on the shelf in april -june than august - october!

This just doesn't sit well with me. All i hear from Tito, Theo, and all the NESN people are how Stern's catch the other night wasn't what he should have done. (game ending catch in center with the bases loaded) i know that it was risky and that if he misses it we are probably tied---but now with everyone ripping him for it and sending him to AAA; aren't we going to make him 2nd guess everytime he's out there in the field. He let his insticts take over and it worked---let's not start playing tricks with his mind!

I would love to see him hit 2 guys (as long as no-one is injured) in the first inning. With the warnings the umps have got from MLB, he would get tossed doing that. I would love to see him tossed early in the game:D

Should be a good game. Wake only has one loss since 99 against the rays, however Kazmir has seemed to have the sox number. Should be fun to watch, and let's hope they win another one!

Papi just likes shill better becuase shill (in his mind) did more to bring a ring to boston than anyone else! Without a doubt though Pedro is the best pitcher of my lifetime; as it was mentioned above--- having an ERA that low during the height of the roid rage is just plain stupid!

Exactly! I understand they want to get him more consistant ab's but why not keep him up until coco is back. They probably plan to play Mohr in center for now and harris as the backup---at leas i hope so!

I would stick with Gonzo throughout the rest of the year. He's great at short and makes the pitchers more comfortable knowing he's there. (they must have been a nervous wreck with rent there last year). He is a hole in the line-up though that may surprise us every once in a while---but he will also be the "sacrifice bunt" guy when needed. I still wish we had o-cab ( i am sure i have said it a million times) becuase i think he is as much the defender as gonzo and better at the plate. O-cab seemed to do better in boston---one of those "play better in the pressure situation" guys!

I don't remember what show it was on. I work from home so if i am getting some computer stuff done then i will flip on NESN or *gulp*ESPNEWS! He wasn't this way last year from what i can remember---but he is now! He called Tito an idiot for something (don't exactly remember) and that's when i wanted to dump him. Call me old fashioned, but if one of the "spotlight" guys is publically calling the manager an idiot----dump him! I don't care if we dump him or just DL him the rest of the year, just don't let him pitch. He asked for a trade, wants to be a yank, and calls tito an idiot!-----i just don't care what he can possibly bring to the table---let's not pitch him again!

Well my birthday is during the "hot stove" . Winter meetings i think---anyway let's hope i am celebrating another WS ring on my birthday!

We have Dinardo, and i will take him anyday over wells! I have just had enough of his: "i love the yanks" crap and the badmouthing of tito during the offseason. Let's dump the guy and move on!
