    looks like riv didn't make it tonight--probably still in shock from seeing papi put one in orbit off of the guy they got specifically to face papi:D Either that or he's on a yank board trying to figure out how to save face!!!!!:thumbsup: On a side note, that HR papi hit was an absolute bomb!! With that wind blowing in like that it was amazing!!! If the conditions were normal, it very well could have been the longest HR in fenway history!

    are you serious????? Ya we paid him a lot of money but he's worth it. He is widely regarded as a great (some people think best) catcher in the game. (with regard to working with the staff) I think too many people see what he does at the plate (forgetting the recent game where he get's a hit to put the sox ahead late in the game) and don't realize what he does behind the plate and off camera. When we find tek's replacement down the road, it's going to be nice to have someone that he can mentor.

    At least try and get your argument strait. Baseball players are all here legally (at least to my knowledge). They are either citizenzs or are here on visa's ect.... We are not talking about people like that (there are also a lot of college students studying here). I am speaking of illegal's who are here illegally!

    Not sure this is the place for this discussion. However with that said, you need to distinguish between immigrants and illegal aliens. If someone is an immigrant, then there is no sending them back to thier country--becuase this is now their country. I think the big hoopla is over all the people that have come into this country illegally and are now going to protest. All americans in this country came from somewhere else at one point (well their family, but you get my drift) ---the only problem i see is the people that come into our country illegally. If you want to come to america--great; but do it the right way!

    Well if the sox continue their trend of run scoring in wake's starts---then tonight won't be pretty. However if the sox sweep this 2 game set, then there will be a lot of crow to eat come wed for all the yank fans on here!

    They are both hitting the ball pretty well. With that said i still wish lowell could hit well when it counts. It just seems to me (with no stats in front of me right now) that when we need him to he craps out but when we don't need him to he hits well. I am not complaining about his hitting, just wish he could spread it out to when it really matters!

    Let's just hope they make sure he is 100% healthy before he comes back---make sure you get it right guys! We can wait a couple extra games now--but not later in the season!

    that's the way things have been going for the sox lately--the ball glancing off the runners foot to make him safe. We most likely would have had him because it was there in time!

    Well that hit by gomes is an example of pena in CF. If coco or mohr is in there they probably catch that. And as for pena's great arm, he didn't show that on the throw to 3rd!

    Well the sox haven't been winning lately, so nobody is doing that. Although i know what you mean!!!! Lowell has been hitting the ball hard lately though.
