    the rangers have lowe throwing tomorrow. He was good as a starter last yr. He throws a hard sinker that will be hard to lift, but he can be gotten too. Plus he was just converted to a starter last yr, so he likely wont last long....

    There was talk of the sox re-acquiring Mirabelli from the Padres now that he is the backup in SD. I wouldnt be surprised if that is put into action....

    With Padilla it is either feast or famine and for the most part, it is famine. He was absolutely terrible at the beginning of the season and picked it up towards the end. He is usually horrible early on as a whole with a 4.51era pre allstar the past 3 yrs. The sox will probably light him up...

    Juan Gonzalez wasnt juicing? Rusty Greer? Pudge? Canseco? Palmeiro? Your clubhouse, according to Canseco, was the beginning of the steroid scandal. So yeah, you did root for over-paid and over-hyped steroid users. As for any other team, steroids pervades the game. I have former teammates playing in the minors and a few in the show and they will readily admit that it is just as prevalent as it was before the suspensions were handed out. People just get smarter and chemists will always be one step ahead of the doping agency. There are high profile proven abusers, but there are certainly many more guys who havent been caught, and to think that your team or any team is steroid free is naive and incorrect....

    the majority of his HRs were off his slider. He was slinging it and it was coming in with no downward movement. Guidry has tried to lift johnson's arm angle, we'll see if it works. Last night, 1HR off a fastball. His slider was pretty good....
