  1. On a side note, major league baseball was looking into the red substance on Matt Clement's leg in his last start. Ever since 2004, it was well documented how illegal adding ketchup to your sock had become and they were suspicious of him pulling a "schilling". They finally confronted him outside his locker in Camden Yards and quickly noticed that he had not used ketchup, but in fact he ran out of Kotex and he was having a heavy day. They quickly apologized. Another side note, MLB noticed the same thing last yr when Pavano would pitch and they vowed never to make that mistake again. I guess they were wrong...
  2. niiice. The jays are laying the wood....
  3. September 24 -- Manny Ramirez tells Coco Crisp that he thought he looked better last year when he wasn't so tan and had long hair and a beard. Crisp informs Ramirez that he is not Johnny Damon and that Damon hasn't been on the team all season, after which Ramirez just stares blankly for a few seconds and then walks away.
  4. September 8 -- Another Randy Johnson love child comes forward and sues the pitcher for giving him his looks
  5. September 4 -- Manny Ramirez stands awestruck in left field and refuses to move for nearly an hour after his eye catches something sparkly in the Fenway crowd
  6. June 8 -- Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez is arrested for masterminding a six-state crime ring. However, prosecutors refuse to file charges against the popular outfielder after his attorney explains it was just a case of "Manny being Manny." wow, and these are just a sox one. The Soriano ones are hilarious...
  7. this one is great... May 16 -- A Red Sox front office employee drives struggling third baseman Mike Lowell way out into the country, lets him run around in a field for a few minutes, and then shoots him
  8. I know, but this is yr 2 of him being a mutt after he was a sux for 7 yrs. It makes me nauseous to see him in my beloved pinstripes...
  9. Rudy Seanez. His new nickname should be BP....
  10. dude, please change your sig. Pedro in pinstripes is disgraceful (well now that he is a mutt)...
  11. wells has more upside this season. DiNardo has more long term. Wells is a playoff horse and will step it up in the big game..
  12. I think this deal was a bit premature. He has to prove that he can play through criticism and can handle the pressure of the fens before you extend him. He hasnt even stepped foot in fenway and has not had to face any criticism yet. We'll see what he is made of when he returns and if he struggles....
  13. think about it, paps has appeared in at least 4 games so far, he worked yesterday and if he works today in a loss (lets imagine for the moment that the sox lose a close game) then you used your closer 4 out of the last 5 days with 11 more games to go on this stretch. You have a kid who wasnt a reliever last season or the yr before and you want him to pitch nearly every day? Does anyone remember what Tom Gordon or Tanyon the Manyon Sturtze looked like last yr towards the end of the yr? That is what happens when your primary reliever in any close game (lead or trail) is your closer and your set up man. If Paps gets into this game, then you blow him for tomorrow and put more unneeded toil on that young arm...
  14. like I said, these are the games that burn a pen. Beginning of a long stretch of games, chance to win, but trailing in a 3 run game, and riding a hot streak. What do they do?
  15. one run closer, does francoma go for the win or give this one away?
  16. after watching last yr, how the f*** could you doubt him. s***, Manny is one of the best players of the decade, calm down...
  17. 77 is okay for high school, but most top notch kids in high school are low 80s at least. The toughest kid I ever faced in HS was Brad Baker, anyone remember him, former sox 1st rounder....
  18. here is where the burning of the pen can occur. Riske on the DL, Papelbon moved to closer and Foulke unable to be trusted. If Francona wants to go for the win, he is gonna have to go to foulke and would he burn paps for a chance to win a game? We'll see. This is where Torre has really f***ed us in the past. He'd put the set up man or the closer into a game that we were losing and burned them for save sits....
  19. he did have 2 yrs of 30+ HRs....
  20. this diNardo kid is alright....
