so a red sox finish would cap his career, not his 2 WS wins, 320 wins and 4000K's? Even though Clemens wont say it, you have to think that he doesnt want a redux in boston. He was the heart and soul of a pitching staff in boston, then he was shown the door and told he was too old. He went on to have his best yrs after he left and sox fans have hated him for it, maybe they were upset at management, maybe they were envious, who knows. The only thing is, the fans bought into the boston spin machine and began to hate their former beloved ace. Now, everyone wants him back. Is there some irony there? Maybe. The only thing he could do is screw things up if he returns to Boston, and to NY for that matter as well. It seems like everyone has kinda made peace with Clemens in their mind, in both Boston and NY and if he goes to either team, it will rip open the wounds again. Mind you, NY fans still love Clemens and most harbor no ill will to him, and I think he appreciates that enough to not go to Boston. At the same time, I think he loves being home and is at peace with the way people feel about him in NE, so he wont return to NY either. He'll be in Texas in June, mark my words.....
