    probably some aaa pitchers in the mix at that time of the year - they'll be ready for him this year.

    cano will be pitched to differently this year now that there is a sample of what he swings at and how he reacts in different situations. they always find a weakness.

    That will be the issue - the Fall is when ity counts. It's ok to get there but not be able to finish is the killer. a few pushups will tighten that cat right up.....

    bb, he ran out of gas late in the year when the wear and tear got to him. 5-6 starts fewer may still not be enough time off to have some juice left when it really counts. maybe the May start will work for the stros. Nice cat, does it spiral?

    plus his body won't hold up for a whole year, failing when it is crunch time - no pun there. Leave him in texas and avoid the turmoil his arrival will cause.

    I think that tubby will show up and pitch for us before he hangs it up. I' wouldn't be surprised if Towers was helping us out by not offering a trade for him - a little back door favor. it could also be he just doesn't want him back. Either way, he's lights out in the fens..... So, let's keep him in the rotation if he can pitch.

    I was disappointed that they never let Greg Harris pitch from both side when he was in relief - the ultimate relief guy.

    I don't know if he can stay up that late. i listen to him occasionally and he's not too bad. he'll be better than Dennis Miller.

    If the edge leaves the colts they will have a tough time staying up. we have to solve the wr problem we may be facing if givens leaves - and he surely will - and troy retires- which he should.

    Mornin' VA, just trying to sort through the raja stuff. don't think we need that distraction at the time they are trying to regenerate clubhouse unity and a basic team feel-good atmosphere.

    Tito's pitching decisions are based on Wallace's input - at least that is why I believe they have a pitching coach. Plus, as Rivera has proven, nothing is automatic just because you are sent in to take care of business.

    rudy has been training with martial arts and it has helped him "get in the best shape of his life" so don't think we rolled the dice again w/o reason. he'll be a solid performer.

    Hammer, I don't see the FO paying him $M because it would alienate a lot of other players on the team. plus it would used as a club by other pitchers who they try and sign/resign. best to leave him down there with the tumbleweeds and get it done with what we got.....
