  7. I am not one of those Red Sox fans. To me, negative speculation is a waste of time and energy. So I don't go there. To each his own. Knock yourselves out. I noticed after 2004 some of the NYY fan base that used to constantly remind us of Buckner, Bucky, Boone, 1918, etc no longer existed. None of it will be forgotten but, personally, it doesn't bother me as much as it did prior to 2004.
  8. It is still too early to freak out about starting pitching. NO ONE out here knows what the morale in the clubhouse will be this season or problems that will exist in the dug out. This is just ridiculous speculation. I don't mind warranted negativity towards the Red Sox. 2012 is not 2011. Some of us have moved on from 2011. I'll never forget 2011 but I will move on. And please, no need for foolish condescension, I remember Ted Williams.
  9. Well good luck with that and thanks for being a former Red Sox fan!!
  10. I don't have you or anyone on ignore. Not a believer in the "ignore" feature. I am unable to question your loyalty to the Red Sox. Not my objective or mission in life. If your posting style weren't so annoying, I don't think anyone would question your fandom. People on this board agree and disagree. We have for several years. Can't speak for the newer posters. Personally, I can respect and disagree with PG and Eltronick (sp?). You and muggah are a different story.
  11. Here we go ladies and gents: NESN’s 2012 Red Sox Spring Training Game Schedule March 3: Boston College, 7 p.m. March 4: Minnesota, 1:30 p.m. March 5: At Minnesota, 7 p.m. March 9: Pittsburgh, 7 p.m. March 10: Tampa Bay, 7 p.m. March 11: at Baltimore, 7 p.m. March 18: at Tampa Bay, 1 p.m. March 20: Toronto, 7 p.m. March 22: New York Yankees, 7 p.m. March 24: Philadelphia, 1:30 p.m. March 25: at Toronto, 1 p.m. April 1: Minnesota, 1:30 p.m. I have Verizon Fios and unfortunately do not get NESN. But my local watering hole/sports bar that is less than a mile from my house will have these games! Happy for those of you who can watch them at home! Whooooooo Hoooooooo!! So pysched!
  12. I recall that incident too. He is referred to as Big Diva because of ONE incident when the team was sinking any way? I don't and won't buy it. Ortiz has done much more good/great for this orgainzation and he's doesn't deserve to be crapped on. Again, no one is perfect. This one incident and referring to him as Big Diva is an over-the-top exaggeration. From the ones who couldn't stand Francona, didn't he deserve the disrespect? Maybe barging in on the press conference would have brought Tito out of his "coma" LOL! Sounds to me like that incident was as overblown as the Carl Crawford "not returning BV's phone calls" Things tend to get exaggerated in the off season when there is not much to discuss. Sometimes unwarranted discussions happen when things are slow. It happens. I suppose it's normal. Not buying any of it for a minute.
