  1. agreed this is why i could give a f*** less about ""prospects"" who havent hit pawtucket yet another reason why im not whippin my skippy over dustin pedroia either i love to be proven wrong when it comes to these things.
  2. fukin ayyy man if this flies and jd drew's yeast infection is treated properly and kato shows up and pitches like all the geniouses say he will?? the sox had a great offseason
  3. how many prospects or # of his children do you think omar minaya and the owners in flushing meadows would deal for a world series?? this is the same team that dealt kazmir for the sucky zambrano christ joe maine was a key ingrediant for them last year the mets havent won in 20 years i suspect they would deal lastings millege for a title at the drop of a hat
  4. if randy needs a ride to laguardia let me know i can be in the bronx in 2.5 hours and i will pay for his flight
  5. as i said hanging 43 on that D speaks for itself and made me a believer out of their offensive ability as far as OU goes sure they lost to texas who was also down this year and the refs buried them against the ducks how many did the ducks hang on them?? anyways from soup to nuts the big 12 was down, the cowboys of osu were ok,,colorado was awful, kstate was awful the cyclones of isu suck, kansas is ok for a 7-6?? team i guess and missou wasnt all that bad but ou usually faces a top 5 team in lincoln nebraska and the shootout with texas is usually a player in the national championship theater what was boises strength of schedule compared to say wisconsin, who got absolutley no respect this season either?? im all in favor of the playoff format in college football
  6. a pitcher?? no s*** we traded him to the cardinals at 1st they must have traded him to cinci i saw him play over at fino field in milford several times he appeared to be the real deal at the time he was drafted but again, duquette played f*** f*** with mark texeira and lost him, then he paid this guy 1.75M and mark my words after 7 years of baseball he evidently cant hit big time pitching i assume he has his money still hes an armenian,a race of people that you never see starving as my old friend gary hagopian used to say when we worked together SEAN IT TAKES 2 JEWS TO OUTSMART AN ARMENIAN WHY ARE YOU,A 1/2 BRED MICK GUNIEAU ARGUING WITH ME?? now that was a boy who could shut me the f*** up
  7. as they should slap raja with as many 000000s as possible and count on his 45 year old ass to beat kc and tampa but get his ass handed to him by boston chicago and toronto honestly speaking for a moment while my monday hangover carries into tuesday nite... he will be a great inning eater for a team that lacks pitching depth if the yanks think pavano and iguana are solid keepers then i think theyre wasting their money nobody can tell me that the sox would be better off facing rj than clemens i as well as you guys watched both these men against boston clemens gets his ass handed to him in every game that ever mattered rj is beatable as well as is mussina these days however they always pitched good enuff to win the tight ones against us as opposed to clem, who always pitched good enuff to lose the big ones,be it against dave stewart, ronny darling(another local kid) or el presidente dennis martinez or the other martinez if the sox think their 5+ are ready to roll? they too wouldnt invest in this ********** either of course come june and things turn hot and the pitching wilts or burns or both a guy like raja would be a good fit for any team in the running im just wondering why they would invest that kind of coin on raja as opposed to the likes of jason schmidt who they couldve rented for the stretch run i think its a marketing ploy by the sox a competetive ploy by the yanks who may feel that theyre outgunned at the starting rotation area
  8. jackson he was a centerfielder and he had the highest signing bonus in sox history at 1.75M when he signed
  9. the mets were 1 pitcher away from a winnable world series lastings millege for joe blanton wouldve gotten it done for them last year i feel of course the mets go into this season with tommy glavine, who was in the same classes as my 45 year old wife as their hoss and petey is f***ed up in sooo many places theres a great chance he wont see the mound ever again?? i have to wonder if theyre going to be as good as last year and be the nl's chalker they do have a good lineup with delgado deluca wright and some speed i just dont know so when in doubt trade for pitching i guess
  10. Team Player, Pos. 2005 Org 1996 John Garrett, rhp Out of baseball 1997 John Curtice, lhp Out of baseball 1998 Adam Everett, ss Astros 1999 Rick Asadoorian, of Reds 2000 Phil Dumatrait, lhp Reds 2001 Kelly Shoppach, c (2nd round) Red Sox 2002 Jon Lester, lhp (2nd round) Red Sox 2003 David Murphy, of Red Sox 2004 Dustin Pedroia, ss (2nd round) Red Sox 2005 Jacoby Ellsbury, of Red Sox these are the sox last 10 top draft picks rick asadorian played locally in northbridge and was a cant miss #1 draft pick anyone know where he is in the reds org??
  11. well ou did lose 3 games this year as did boston college,bc lost 3 games they were favored in. i think boise would struggle to be a challenger in the more competetive conferences i mean how do you think they would handle 1 weekend in knoxville and the next in say gainesville or auburn where their offensive linemen outweigh boises by 50lbs?? this is why the sec gets too much respect in my opinion they get overrated due to the strength of schedule while boise features san jose state and the fighting bananslugs of uc santa clara..... i will say that hanging 43 on ou speaks for itself however without a playoff we'll never know
  12. bonds loves to play too carl everett undoubtedly would hit a guy in the face with a bat to win this is the guy the sox insisted on for manny?? the mets shouldve dumped him
  13. speaking of hype and flame throwing lefties hows brian taylor doing these days?? is he still working for that giant perdue plant on route 13 next to his mother who beat steinbrenner out of a million??
  14. this same boise team was buried by bc last year on their own blue field this ou team was their worst in 8 years but in 1 game?? anythings possible i thought michigan would handle usc i think usc with its game on track can beat anyone florida would be undefeated if not for a blocked punt in auburn who knows how good they are?? lsu?? would you want to play them in new orleans?? lets see how they handle the irish 1st ohio st has been #1 since august and has done nothing not to deserve that title wisconsin only lost once this year and beat a very good arkansas team we do need a playoff but that would put a lot of these experts out of work
  15. average is giving rose much credit at the mlb level he didnt have it who was the pitcher who severed the nerves on his hand?? i thought that was curtice anyone remember pax crawford?? he too had a big start for the sox, turned out he was a roid boy anyway this business is an in exact science with a lot of luck needed to be successful
  16. who ever comes up with the biggest coin will get him
  17. the people in houston, number than s***,would rather see clemens than ny or boston fans its a novelty in houston they think hes nolan ryan returned anyone north of arlington texas who thinks they got a shot at mr april best bring their checkbook with a deuce and 0000000's in the register f*** this guy
  18. prospects are good bargaining chips for pitching the problem is trying to determine what prospects hold what value and how will that translate into mlb performance tomo okha and brian rose went a combined 30-1 in 2 seasons at pawtucket both won minor league pitcher of the year awards if im not mistaken rose was let go to colorado i believe with less than 20 innings in a sox uni we also let cant miss prospect eric wedge go to colorado during expansion steve lomasney from peabody was a cant miss catcher and old friend jeff spinelli from revere,a 90mph+ pitcher in hischool was a #1 cant miss pick till he developed a taste for smack and steroids, not in any order who was the kid who was a cant miss pitcher who cut his hand on a glass candle holder and severed nerves in his hand?? john curtice?? juan pena was 2-0 against ny i think? with an incredible era before he blew his elbow out the following spring training he came back awesome untill the last start when a soft liner hit him dead nuts on the surgically repaired elbow....gone forever who knows this is purely a crap shoot
  19. respect amongst nitwits is nothing to die for by all accounts this was a good kid when will they learn?? when how many of these guys are going to learn look at our celtics pierce gets carved up with a champagne bottle antoine walker robbed with a glock in his face telfair playing with fire how many others havent been bagged?? anyone remember hart lee dykes?? got osu and smu on probation, the latter the death penalty before we drafted him a gun and knife fight at club shalimar in providence followed with the good reverand irving fryar fryar the year before got carved up by his lovely bride and missed the super bowl why must they play with fire?? theres plenty of time to die when you get older and have lived a bit
  20. oakland california the barbed wire capitol of america a great place for banishment
  21. im all for mr april to pitch in ny this season distracting self centered maggot that he is he'll fit in well with the ego maniacs that have prevented them from winning this century
  22. if i were you bb i too would prefer this operational change its out of the stick michael book of baseball that did the yanks so well over the years it was only when the felonious ********** demanded a win at all costs mentality did the yanks actually stop winning anyone realize the yanks havent won a title with a payroll over 100M? in fact i think the 04 sox were the only team in bball history to win a title with a payroll over 100M
  23. cant argue with that logic men but come september when you have iguana coming into fenway in a must win situation you may regret this for the 1st time in 10 years i feel the yankees are making a bank its good long term stategy but its not conducive to a win at all costs mentality that has perservered in the bronx since 1973
  24. You have a rotation of Wang- 27yrs old Mussina- 38yrs old Pettitte- 34yrs old Igawa- 27yrs old Pavano- 31yrs old i find it remarkable that anyone who likes the yankees would pencil pavano into any scenario i think if the yanks move rj i feel theyre not planning on winning in 07 you dont trade 200 ip and 17 wins if youre sincere about the here and now
  25. ya but didnt he win a gold glove crespo?? that means hes the best at the position doesnt it?? as far as the glove goes nobody in baseball is better than agon and i think ocab and the purple lipped polesmoker who plays 3rd base in ny are better than jetsey
