I'm just really confused by this...the guy saw very limited action last year due to our current OF and injury. What were you looking for him to do in that limited action that he didn't do? Hit over .300? Check. Show flashes of unbelievable power? Check. Hit relatively consistently when a lot of the Sox were in and out of slumps? Check. ok fair enuff here but did you expect to see him play right field like stevie wonder?? did you expect him to be on pace to break the strike out record?? christ even if he hit 20 90 .300 it still doesnt make up for the fact that we gave away a 200 inning guy with a rubber arm who loved it here and got f***ed by theo for it by singing a home town discounted deal take note that may be the last home town deal that gets done with epstein if pena makes the allstar team nobody will be happier than me in fact i was of the mindset that theyd give him the 500abs nobody has yet given him in his career. instead management weighed its options and paid jd drew obscene money rather than put pena in the starting role in right field i think that was an indictment on the future of pena
