  1. Somehow I don't think this is Guns type of crowd
  2. I wonder if Gene Collier dislocated his wrist jerking off after the game?
  3. Moved from the other thread: God I hate Bud Light Nice to see you again BB
  4. God I hate Bud Light Nice to see you again BB
  5. Bud Light, You're right ARod has paid consultants that monitor his "public image" so it would not suprise me if Johnny was following in his footsteps. That ad in this mornings paper was faker than Michelle Damons tits
  6. It was an attempt on Damon's part to replicate the class Drew Bledsoe showed when he was traded. Damon's sentiment here is absolutely pathetic and misplaced. You have to wonder if ARod's Image Consultants suggested Damon take out this ad to show the public what a class act he is. Even the most hardened Johnny Damon fans are gonna see thru this charade. Like RS said - Drew's ad to the fans came from the heart and it was obvious to anyone who read it. This ad from JD is beyond pathetic and reeks of a publicists advice. Maybe his whore wife thought it was a good idea because God knows she's every bit as phony as the sentiment in this ad. f*** Johnny Damon
  7. I think a BC/BU game at Fenway would be great
  8. That was my implication in the original post, MC And I'm quite sure thats the consensus of opinion across the country this fine morning. Although who knows. . . Maybe Janet Jones is heavy into sports wagering. She did make that spectacular American Anthem movie back in '86 with that bagbiter Mitch Gaylord.
  9. They only have guys working in the mail room
  10. OBama and McCain were supposed to be involved in some bipartisan ethics and lobbying reform plan and Barack did a little Dem back-tracking on the stance and McCain wrote: "I understand how important the opportunity to lead your party's efforts to exploit this issue must seem to a freshman senator, and I hold no hard feelings over your earlier disingenuousness. I have been around long enough to appreciate that in politics, the public interest isn't always a priority for every one of us. Good luck to you, senator."
  11. The John Kerry-esque flip flopping is typical of the mile wide, inch deep Yankee "fan" base. Speaking of the democrats - John McCains letter to Barack O'Bama might've been the funniest thing I've read in a long time!!
  12. I broke even so I'd hardly say you put money in my pocket. Playing unders in those run and gun games is walking a fine line to say the least. Reddick was Reddick, especially in the second half. We needed a cold streak to make that A&R come together and neither team had one in the 2H but at least Carolina covered the 5 1/2 so we didn't get double dipped BC is -2 w/ a 151 tonight in Winston Salem Under here certainly looks good
  13. Good to see former Bruin Rick Tocchet making a name for himself with the bookmakers of the world. I never knew Wayne Gretzky's wife was such a sports nut that she's gambling huge pieces every week on football and hoop. God I wanted to f*** her in the 80's
  14. Crunch nice call on the NC under
  15. True words were never spoken, Plump
  16. #1 - Division series games are not what I would classify as "big games" #2 - Losses are losses and to suggest Game 6 in 86 is one of his finest moments is simply a joke. #3 - I admitted he pitched well in the LCS clinching game in 86, as he did in the Arizona game he won in 2001. The one hitter vs Seattle was a gem. #4 – Atlanta in ’99? Staked to an early 3 run lead with the Yanks up three games to none? What a heroic effort. This is precisely the kind of no pressure situation that Raaaaaaja thrives in. So the greatest pitcher in the last 50 years has by all accounts 3 legit performances in his 33 career post season starts? What a stud. Any idea what his TEAMS record is in his 33 post season starts? Whats so hard to believe about that? I remember a lot of things that happen in a lot of games dating way the hell back beyond last years Game One. Watch the tape. The gutlessness exhibited that night was more predictable than a beautiful sunset off the west coast of Negril. Like I said earlier in this thread. . .The difference of opinion in this thread can be equated to the difference between the people that have watched Clemens pitch his entire career and those that are commenting on games that happened 3 years before they were born with no first hand experience and whose “memories” of Clemens consist of looking up box scores on CBSSportsline.com Watch the games with your eyes, 26, and don’t rely so much on what Tim McCarver or your Rotisserie Baseball magazines tell you. TMW PS – If you want me to go into Clem’s big game failures just say the word, I got all day, and yeah, I remember them.
  17. Yves, nice under call tonight in the Tenn/UK game
  18. Have a good night then But, with all due respect, if you have to ask me what year we're talking about, then maybe you don't qualify to comment on what happened that dreadful Oct night in 1986 I was there (not literally in Shea, but as a die hard fan) And I remember everything that happened. And not just what the box score in an online newspaper tells me about what happened that night. And as I mentioned earlier, its a shame that the media is hyping this guy up and putting him on pedastal for a generation of baseball fans that do not remember, thru no fault of their own, the first 12-15 years of this fraud's career. Have a nice night, KTF1229
  19. Good evening Red, Do you think that the fact the NFL had to come out and publicly defend the officiating in the game tells you something?
  20. Theres nothing to drop, dude, do you remember the game? And the aftermath? And the "fallout" (for lack of a better word) that happened in the months afterwards?
  21. It's not an age thing per se, but a comment that "oooooh, I tried my best" doesn't cut it at the Major League level. KTF1229 - are you a Red Sox fan? If so, Curt Schilling could;ve taken the same attitude in 2004 but he didn't He sucked it up and pitched KNOWING that maybe his ankle would respond and maybe it wouldn't As I said earlier in this thread - Winners want the ball
  22. Hammer, Sean is at our bartenders funeral services. I am leaving in 15 minutes to join them so have a nice night.
  23. I will never forgive him for that night in Shea, among other things. Never.
