    Id much rather have Lowell. Hes had two .800+ OPS seasons, one last year and one 4 years before in 2002. But hes mostly been what his career OPS indicates, a .751 OPS guy. And hes made Bobby Abreu look good this year.

    This has nothing to do with Arod concerning the Red Sox 3B position, but its amazing how much hes cooled off since April. I remember people saying how Arod could possibly break the HR record in a season but in May he has 1 HR and 5 RBI after 14 HR and 34 RBI in April and has a .679 OPS in May, ouch

    that is absolutely pathetic that we only score 1 run there, that is unacceptable

    all 3 of our 1st round/2nd round (excluding Caleb Clay) have gotten torched pitching for Lancaster. Part of it is Lancaster but they havent exactly been good on the road either. Masteron and Johnson havent switched to SP from MRs very well at all this year. Johnson and Masteron both had ERAs under 1.00 in over 30 IP each least year and looked poised for breakout years.

    updated stats: WMP As a Starter: .286/.390/.514/.904, 10 hits, 2 doubles, 2 HR, 6 BB, 6 runs, 5 RBI, 16 Ks WMP As PH,replacement: .181/.200/.181/.381, 1 hit, 0 BB, 2 run, 0 RBI, 4 Ks (getting pretty compelling)

    Bowdens first start in AA: 5IP, 2H, 1ER, 2 BB, 5 K The hit (and ER) sounded like it should have been caught. But he topped out at 95 MPH tonight and from the radio broadcast he sounded really good. And his next start is against none other than Roger Clemens

    As do I, never anything to complain about with him. In his 23 innings with the Sox this year and last he has a 1.91 ERA, and 0 runs allowed vs. LHBs.
