    I just had a random idea... What about a Hall Of Fame forum? Like a list that's JUST for the comments that cause everyone to crack up in the game threads or whatever. We had a similar thing where I used to work...except it wasn't on the internet, it was on a peice of paper on the back of the bathroom door, and it wasn't cool s*** we said, it was dumb s*** the customers said...but it was sweet nonetheless.

    This is my favorite idea thus far... I think Navy Blue would be awesome for the shirt color...and that speech bubble logo centered in the front, and the http://www.talksox.com on the back...where the last name would go on a jersey. Computer graphics aren't my thing...but I'll see what I can dream up slogan-wise. I just realized that the graphics don't post when I quote...but the idea I was talking about is the one posted in the post with the above text.

    I remember when I graduated HS, our Senior TShirt had everyone's name in small letters on the back. That'd be freaking AWESOME if we could do that...have any members with over a certain amount of posts or something listed there. Log-In names, of course. I actually thought the whole speech bubble thing looked really cool. What color are we thinking?

    It may not be a rental after all. The Yanks won't pick up Sheff's option next year and could potentially trade for Lee and get an extension done by season's end. Lee would command a lot of money in the FA market...but no one is going to outbid the Yankees, and, IMO, he'd be tempted to want to stay in NY. Going from the BrewCrew to an immediate contender is quite the jump. And if the Brewers do get Hughes...that's one of the best young staffs in baseball! Well, in a year or two...

    Does anyone else think it's funny that automatically domincan guys are good friends with one another? I'm not saying Tejada, Manny, and Ortiz aren't friends or whatever, but it just seems automatic that we think guys from the same country are automatically boys. And usually, it's the hispanic ballplayers. I remember it happened a couple of years ago with Vlad, too.

    That's a good point, but if I'm not mistaking, that was in a year where there was a relatively deep free agent pool, especially in the outfield. Was it the year Beltran was a FA? Or Vlad maybe? Anyways, I remember there was a plethora of outfielders available that the Sox could have signed if Manny's mammoth contract had been picked up by someone. Not that they were MannyCaliber, but we could have gotten another star and slotted him into left to make the loss less catastrophic. Trading Tejada...there's no one in the league that can even close to make up at SS what they'd be losing in dealing Tejada. They're still going to command a high price. And I agree with the aforementioned...I like what I've seen from Hansen, but there's no way Papelbon could be included in this deal. Hansen may be the closer of the future, but Little Pappy is the closer of now, and I want him staying. Lester, too. This kid is a stud. Only deal I'd EVER OK Lester in is one that brought a proven frontline starter in his mid 20's to Boston.

    I agree...I think we've gotta give him another tremendous ovation tomorrow (today) when he's introduced...but after that, we've gotta can the sentimentality and treat him like a foe. It will be rough to look at him outside of the home whites at Fenway, though.

    No comparison...WMP is the future masher of this club. Kapler's a great late inning guy, but we've seen the extent of his potential. We haven't even scratched the surface of WMP's potential yet.

    Selig is such a farce. He should come right out and say that we're not going to do anything about HGH. NOTHING. I think I'd respect him more if he said that. There is no legitimate test for HGH. NONE. It can only be detected through blood, and even so, people's blood all contain different levels of it anyways. Do you know that no one has EVER tested positive for HGH? Not in sports, not outside of sports. NEVER. There is no reliable test. Even if this whole blood test thing went through, it won't help. You can't test for it, you simply can't.
