  1. Wang has a no hitter going in the bronx.
  2. Why would you say he is an untouchable along with Young and Upton?
  3. its only a delay...its a passing shower
  4. from boston.com The Red Sox have just announced that tonight's game has been delayed due to heavy rains. Right now, it is pouring at Fenway, as sheets of rain are blanketing the ballpark. The rain is falling so hard that the bullpens in rightfield are not visible from the press box. There are also high winds and thunder and lighting. The rain is expected to last at least one hour, according to the team. The grounds crew has placed the tarp on the field and fans were evacuated from the Monster Seats.
  5. Now, the lineups: Red Sox 1. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 2. Mark Loretta, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Manny Ramirez, LF 5. Trot Nixon, RF 6. Jason Varitek, C 7. Mike Lowell, 3B 8. Coco Crisp, CF 9. Alex Gonzalez, SS P -- Jon Lester Angels 1. Maicer Izturis, 3B 2. Howie Kendrick, 2B 3. Orlando Cabrera, SS 4. Vladimir Guerrero, RF 5. Juan Rivera, CF 6. Garret Anderson, LF 7. Tim Salmon, DH 8. Mike Napoli, C 9. Robb Quinlan, 1B P -- Kelvim Escobar
  6. Hamilton is available without a doubt if someone wants to trade for him. He is not the top prospect he once was and won't ever likely pan out. His off field problems have hurt thus his prospect status is pretty much gone as well.
  7. smoltz is a great pitcher but I don't trade a 22 yr old lefthander for him no matter what. even with smoltz you are not guaranteed a title. i will take long term success over a quick fix.
  8. I'm just glad you are not in charge of the Red Sox.
  9. That trade could keep the Brewers competitve thought. Getting a bat and a bullpen arm. not a bad trade
  10. Carlos Lee To Be Dealt To Rangers The Brewers are trading slugger Carlos Lee to the Rangers as part of a multi-player deal, ESPN's Keith Law has learned. The Brewers are sending Lee, Nelson Cruz and a player to be named to Texas for reliever Francisco Cordero and outfielders Kevin Mench and Laynce Nix. Both teams are working on the medicials.
  11. I wouldn't trade Pena for any of those stiffs.
  12. Even the Yankees have a limit and I would doubt they would take on dead wood on Hamptons deal when they are paying Carl Pavano to sit on the DL. Schuerholtz ain't moving Smoltz for anything less than a top prospect or 2. And the braves even paying hampton that much. Alot is being paid by the Rockies along with the Marlins in that creative 3 way deal they did. I have heard the Tigers dangling Humberto Sanchez for Smoltz and if that is true then Schuerholtz would be a fool not to take him.
  13. The Yankees have no chance at Smoltz unless they are willing to part with Philip Hughes and they are not going to do that.
  14. I doubt he gets traded....all this stuff is speculation at best.
  15. yes and the marlins will trade cabrera and get nothing in return. these trade proposals all are foolish
  16. It doesn't say anything about Zito to the Red Sox. Thats just speculation at best.
  17. and a player option at 3.5 million....the 7.5 is a club option which will not be picked up.
  18. Sox will likely lose the opening series with Santana and Liriano on the mound.
  19. Otskuka is a bum....he fools no one with the crap he throws.
  20. likely not and its ridiculous to compare him to those 2 players
  21. He just got out of HS. Give the guy a break....power comes with age and experience. its the last tool to develop.
  22. The red sox would never activate foulke without a rehab assignment
