    The Red Sox likely stayed away since he is signed for 7 million next year. Had he been a free agent this year they might have pursued him more but they likely didn't want him for 2007.

    The Jets have little hope of reaching .500 this year. They would be lucky to win 5 games with the talent they are sporting on that roster right now.

    Hansen was the result of letting a free agent walk. So he is a draft pick that has already hit the major league roster.

    The point is people shouldn't be pissed that the sox weren't in on it after the deadline because they had no chance as he wasn't going to get through NL waivers.

    He would also have to pass threw NL waivers before he can hit AL waivers and it was likely an NL team would claim him. So the Red Sox really would never have had a chance at him.

    According to greenvilleonline.com, Greenville catcher Mark Wagner was hit in the head by a pitch in the eighth inning of Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Hagerstown and left the game.

    manny was also lost for 6 weeks of the season with a thumb injury and the angels and a's both were red hot the 2nd half. had manny not been hurt for that amount of time its quite possible the sox make it to the postseason.

    Omar turned around the Mets by overpaying for guys and cleaning out his farm system to do so. And guys like Wright, Reyes, and Milledge were drafted or signed under a previous GM so he can't take all the credit in the world.
