    Dominique was a filler which means he was never a prospect and Shoppach doesn't have the offensive skills that Egan or Exposito bring. Egan is much more developed as a hitter than Exposito but I love exposito's raw power.

    That tells me they are serious about cleaning house of some veterans and just closing up shop in 2006.

    By the time he gets off the DL pawtucket's season will be over. He might just be shut down for the rest of the year as there is no reason to pitch him or rush him back for a team out of the race.

    Egan played in the GCL last year but did not fare as well. He or Mike Jones could be candidates for the GCL MVP.

    Its tougher to find starters than relievers thus I think the Sox do the smart thing and move Papelbon to the rotation. 200 innings > 70 innings.

    The Sox may move Papelbon back into the rotation to fill a spot and go out and acquire a closer via free agency or trade.

    Jon Lester to the DL to make room for Pena. Adam Stern called up and placed on the 60 day DL to make room on the 40 man roster.

    Carlos Pena will have his contract purchased prior to the game and Bryan Corey is the likely candidate to be designated for assignment.

    The Sox will make a run for him but who is to say JP even wants to trade him within the AL east. My guess is he won't.
