    I not gonna admit hes a good pitcher because frankly I believe he is very overrated. His fastball is average and now hitters realize that and are not biting on his curve or change anymore. They are just gonna sit on his 88 MPH fastball and pound it. He relies on defense alot and if he didn't have the spacious Oakland Coliseum as his home park his numbers would look alot worse than they do. He never deserved to win the Cy Young over Pedro in 2002 because Pedro was so much more dominant than Zito was. Beane should have traded the guy this past winter when his value was still high. If you think Barry Zito is an ace then your crazy.

    Clippard is a bum......The Yanks have 1 player ranked in the BA top 50 and thats Philip Hughes. It took the Red Sox 2 players in the BA top 50 along with two other promising arms to get Beckett and they also had to take Lowell's contract. I can just imagine what it will take to get Willis. The Yankees don't have what it takes to get him unless the Marlins just get rid of him for the hell of it.

    Higher doubt Lester and Moss. Moss has fallen a bit as a prospect but it would start at lester and a bunch more. It would likely be Lester, Pedroia, and maybe some one like Delcarmen and cash. For the Yanks Hughes, Duncan, and maybe Tabata and some cash.

    You didn't I was saying does he scare you if he goes to the Yanks. Because personally I don't think Zito scares anyone anymore even if he is still young.

    Hes not the same Barry Zito. Hitters are laying off the curveball and changeup and waiting until he throws the 88 MPH fastball to pound. He has not really fooled hitters recently and its seems many of the hitters have figured him out. He might still have a very good curveball but if hitters are laying off hes going to struggle because his fastball is not good enough to get anyone out.

    There pitching is no too spectacular and some of those hitters might be promoted maybe halfway through the season.

    There is a day off now so it doesn't even matter.

    Paps velocity was down in the 92-94 range. The night before he was in the 95-97 range. With the day off he should be able to go on opening day if need be.

    He did have some command issues but the home plate umpire didn't do him any favors by squeezing him on some pitches.

Gordon Edes reports that an Orioles doctor looked at it and preliminary reports are that it's fractured. Coco said earlier that if it was October, he'd be playing.

    Michael Silverman is on SportsXtra right now and said its not as bad as Amorosino was talking about. I have no clue who is right but there is really no other source to the story.

    Amorsino is still talking about Crisp with a broken finger. I have no clue where he is getting this info from but no one else has this. He also says Coco will be out of opening day and likely longer.

    Smoltz a bad starter? Lowe as well? what are you smoking...Smoltz is only one of the best postseason starters of all time..those two are much better starters than they were relievers. Papelbon moves into the rotation full time next year when wells retires.

    Absolutely.....If they stay this hot no doubt it will show they are likely too advanced for the Carolina League.
