the yanks are a one dimensional team that relies on the homerun and the big inning to win. they can't play small ball and that will end up hurting them
BC played a great game and really the fact is they overachieved all season with such a young bunch of guys. Even Jerry York said that he was surprised his team went this far. They definitely be back here in the next few years and maybe even win it.
Lester is more of the 92-95 at tops but is still pretty good. He has probably more pitches than Papelbon with his change, curve, cut fastball, and regular 4 seamer but the pitches need to be refined.
Couldn't agree anymore....The red sox acquired him for upside something Bronson Arroyo doesn't have anymore. Bronson is a nice pitcher but nothing more than a 4-5 starter and the red sox have a potential 40 homer corner outfielder in a few years. I wouldn't throw him under the bus after 1 game.
I completely agree. He has sucked in the past and I believe last year in the NL was an abberation for him. He not as good as he was last year and the rain was not a factor. If it was Foulke would have struggled as well. Seanez just flat out sucks. He has no control and was really a waste of a signing.
It will be short.....anymore appearances like this and he could find himself DFA'd. Francona most definitely has probably lost all trust in him. To me I don't even know why they brought this stiff back and I think he was signed when Theo was technically not with the team. Theo do yourself a favor and get rid of him soon.
