  1. No one in the history of baseball has ever said that anyone has ever said that the eye, ie scouting, is not valuable.
  2. Tazawa is completely gone.
  3. And that is why the eye test is valuable. Stats can't tell you that.
  4. Does it support keeping Bradley on the MLB roster and not exercising his minor league option due to his terrible offensive performance?
  5. Not to put words in Dewey's mouth, but that is why he says the eye test has value-- because there is no stat for that.
  6. That isn't what I asked. I asked whether the plan is to keep Swihart on the bench taking up a roster spot for the rest of the season with no role?
  7. What did they offer?
  8. Is the plan to keep him on the bench taking up a roster spot for the rest of the season with no role?
  9. There just is no roster room for him. And if we keep him, what would be the long range plan? Next season, will be thesame issue unless he gets to play and prove that he can catch at the MLB level. I think his leaving is inevitable.
  10. I would be surprised if we got anything of value for Swihart.
  11. Welcome. Chat away.
  12. There were none after they lowered the mound in 1969, 70 or 71 either.
  13. There were no overshifts that I can remember where players were playing out of position. If it was done, it was extremely rare. The shifting occurred mainly in the OF.
  14. There were no shifts in 1968.
  15. I though he was through 7 or 8 years ago.
  16. Radio announcers were saying that Nunez needs a break.
  17. He is still swinging through mediocre fastballs. Everyone is rooting for the kid, but his presence in the lineup is becoming unsustainable.
  18. It is a close call, but Nunez will hit the bench when Pedroia returns. Devers will continue to be a problem.
  19. It would be a blast. When is the last time that you visited NY?
  20. He is doing worse than he did in 2014. He needs a trip to AAA.
  21. Great news! And We need his glove more than his bat.
  22. Mesoraca has played quite well for the Mets thus far -- a nice upgrade. He hit a 2 run HR in the 9th to tie the game tonight.
  23. The announcers are saying that the weather will be better tomorrow.
