Catching the end of the White Sox tribute to Hawk Harrelson. Some here may not have been fans of his, but he was an original that never fit any mold. He was entertaining and unique as a player and as an announcer. His expressions like ”He gone” and “You can put it on the board” were uniquely his, and he was second to none in creating nicknames for players. The homerism didn’t bother me. I always enjoyed listening to him — more so when the Carmines were winning.
