    Not a bad job by Hansen. He had a tough start giving up the single to Berkman, but Berkman is one of the toughest hitters in either league.

    I don't think Okajima is a major concern. He's not lights out like last year, but he will still be a very valuable contributor to the bullpen. The challenge for Tito an his coaches is to find the role where he helps the team the most. Right now it does not look like that role will be as the 8th inning guy in pressure games.

    That was some AB for Cash. He hit that one a long way after fouling off some pitches. He's earned some additional playing time, and the rest couldn't hurt Tek.

The good news for Yankee fans is that Cano may finally have found his swing. BTW Jeter continues to perform offensively like Lugo.

    Nice 1 run save by Papelbon. Good move putting Youk in for defense. That was a bit of a tricky scoop on that last throw from Lowell.

    I was thinking that their manager was stupid for pitching to Lowell with an open base and Varitek on deck. Go figure. Coco crushed that ball. It would have been out of Cincinnati's ballpark.

    The Sean Casey suspension is hurting us tonight. The rookie Moss (an OFer) is a big step down from a .370 hitter. Hits, never mind runs, have been hard to come by.

    I don't see Kendrick as much of an upgrade over Castillo or Kent, plus he never seems to play a full season. As for Byrnes, before he was DL'd, he was having a terrible season. My outfielders are good. Byrnes wouldn't crack my outfield.

    The yankees should just bring up the whole AAA team. That would be the right thing to do. They should be able to help them win the 27th ring.
