  1. He hasn't implemented the conditioning program yet. Plus, the organization has no pitching talent.
  2. Because he stinks. I'd bring up Colon if he is on cycle.
  3. That's what I get from hearing Terry and Beckett about this. It is very clear to me that Beckett is the one who is concerned at this point, not the Red Sox. It is the Red Sox decision to send him to Andrews, because they don't need him worrying on the mound. Francona was very diplomatic, but it is clear that it is Beckett that is worried, not the Sox:
  4. My son was going through a rebellious stage and few times he didn't stand for the anthem. I told him that it was disrespectful. One time someone said something to him. I told them to mind their own business. He just didn't see the connection between patriotism and baseball. Since 9/11, he stands for the anthem and GBA. I guess that made him realize the foolishness of his little protest. He still has a rebellious streak, but he is loyal to the red, white and blue.
  5. Here's mine: They're dead, muerto, kaput.
  6. Well, if he needs to sit against certain lefties, then he is not all that great. Yaz played against everyone. The 4th OF was not better against lefties than he was. BTW: The 4th OF on Yaz's team were better than the 4th OF's on this team.
  7. Especially against a team fighting for the Wild card berth.
  8. Bert Blyleven was just on a rant about the pampering of pitchers. He disagrees with shutting pitchers down in the minors after hitting 150-160 innings. He thinks they are failing to condition their arms to pitch 200 innings in the majors. Blyleven noted that when he was 20 he threw almost 300 iinnings and he pitched for 22 years. Nolan Ryan is on record that he will condition all of his pitchers in the organization to pitch one more inning. He wants them conditioned to throw 120 pitches per outing.
  9. A troll with 11,000+ posts? I am just sick of these pampered wusses. I'm entitled to express that opinion whether or not you agree. Yaz told the doctors to take him out of traction because the Yankees were in town. Drew and Beckett need to be free from any and all discomfort. Beckett is sleeping with his arm in a contraption. It is an insult to women to say that these players have vaginosis. My apologies to women. If these players got periods like women, they would go on the DL every month.
  10. Today's players and especially pitchers are pampered beyond belief. The ones who don't have vaginosis are the exception. Beckett sounds like a wuss in his recent quotes.
  11. It seems that the Red Sox have cleared him to pitch, but that Josh has caught a touch of Drew's vaginosis. By Beckett
  12. What about Colon? He is scheduled to go 75 pitches in his next outing.
  13. After hearing Terry, it sounds like they are doing this more for Beckett's peace of mind.
  14. Crap. Beckett has been scratched for tomorrow.
  15. With the squad we have been running out there, I am thrilled that the Sox won two games. I think one win was more than enough to keep the Yankees from being any factor. Two wins was a death blow. If the Sox go 15-14, the Yankees have to go 21-8 to tie the Sox.
