    2 hits through 6 innings. This guy needs to get his s*** together!! And our offense had better put up at least 2 more tallies to secure this game. They have already lost games when Sale k'd 17 and 12 and failed to get him a win in a 14 K outing.

    Sale is no ace. He needs to step up his game if this team is going to have a chance at the playoffs. Our bullpen got burned up last night so we need to have a 6 run lead when Sale exits the game or we are toast.

    Beni with a first fitch popup in front of home plate. Ughh!

    Beni was a lead weight at the top of the order and a main reason why we didn't score in the first inning. Replacing him at the top was the right move. Replacing Betts or XB would not have produced the same results.

    He reminds me of Willie Randolph when he managed the Mets in 2007 repeating that they would be fine and that the champagne would taste sweeter in September -- as he let the season slip away.

    It took much to long for Cora to make the change. It cost us wins. If a guy is slumping you need to move him down and get the hot guys more ABs.

    Red Sox pitching has broken Smoak out of his slump. He makes a living against Red Sox pitching.

    The offense rarely supports Sale. They decide to sleepwalk through his games.

    Announcers mentioned that the Red Sox lineup has been very potent in the first inning over the last couple of weeks or so. I think you can see that uptick correlates to when Beni and his heavy legs and dead bat got dropped from the second spot in the order and replaced with El Toro.

    At least Kimbrel had games where he just came in and destroyed the opposing batters. In 2017, he did that most of the time.
