By the time of his injury, he was out of his slump and he was hitting very well. He had 13 HRs and 43 RBI by the end of May. That's not too shabby. He missed 9 weeks with the injury and his wrist was not the same for the remainder of the season.

Yes, I think he will. He's a streaky HR hitter, but when he is in a groove, he can hit 3,4 or 5 in a week. It will be difficult to do if they have Varitek batting behind him.

Game over. Yanks got Fistered. Yankee fans have to be happy with winning a series, but Joba has looked like s***. He had two good starts after the All Star break. I guess the rest helped him, but he has had 5 bad outings out of his last 7.

I guess you are praying for a return to the old days where the Yankees steamrolled an inferior Texas team in the playoffs. Don't count on it. We'll be there as the WC and the Yanks will have to go through the red Sox or the Angels to get to the World Series.
