Bringing in a veteran OFer? This is something that I recommended when Cameron's guts fell out and Ellsbury broke his ribs. One injury will be chronic and recurring and the other takes a long time to heal. I said that McDonald should have been a short-term stop gap. Two months later, he is still on the team and we don't have a real major league CFer. I wasn't hating on McDonald. I was just stating the obvious. We need another OFer.

Of all the Sox young pitchers, I always thought that Masterson had the most movement. The problem he had was he had no idea where the pitch was going. If he can manage to throw stikes, he will be successful. He can't throw a straight pitch and he is strong as an Ox.

This breaking news just in. The doctor who examined Ellsbury found Drew's missing vagina. Drew has not been able to find it since Spring Training. He is reportedly very happy that it has been found, and he has asked that it be returned.

Hall hits the ball very hard. He runs and throws well. He's an adequate 4th/5th OFer. He's a better fielder than Hermida. He's not MIF material though.

Jacko, what's your medical opinion. How long does it take for hairline fractures of the ribs to heal. It's been about 8 weeks. I would think that any non-displaced hairline fracture would have healed by now. Any trauma to the surrounding tissue should also have greatly subsided by now. What could be the problem at this point?

David Clyde? Wow, I remember the hoopla over him. My recollection is that he won his debut and pitches 5 innings. That was the high point of his career. They made the kid into a side show and ruined him. He came straight from High School to the majors if I remember correctly.
