I wish nothing was off-limits. But that's not the world we live in. Where I grew up, everything was fair game. It wasn't unusual for friends to insult each other in ways that today's PC police would deem to be a hate crime. It was a give and take, and it was eminently more fair than these PC rules imposed upon us by the media, press and other factions of society. We learned limits. We learned what was fair game and what would get you punched in the nose. For all of the so-called progress made in society today, we have created a bizarre society that has certain sacred cows that cannot be criticized or joked about while also tolerating fashionable ridicule of other groups, and no one can challenge these PC guidelines without fear of losing your livelihood or being shunned. As a society, we've lost all sense of perspective and proportion on these issues.
