Wandy is having a nasty year for them, and Buchholz is having a very good one to, but he's had a couple of bad starts that have inflated his era. Backe had pitched well before going on the DL.

i agree with you. They've only had 2 consistent hitters this year, Berkman and Ensberg. Lane has sucked for them all year and Taveras has struggled so far. Manny could fit in very nicely there. Their rotation would be fine if they get Roger to return... Clemens Pettite Wandy Rodriguez Backe Buchholz and their lineup would be much better... placing to much value on Manny Ramirez? He's one of the best hitters in all of baseball. He's a consistent .300 hitter with 45 HR a year guy. Whether or not they'd trade Oswalt for him, it seems like fair value to me.
