Short Term= Let go of Cora, bring up Lowrie and have him get most of the time at short with Lugo playing every once in a while. Lugo and Lowrie can both play any infield position so that be nice to have. But Id love to see the Sox try to make a deal with PIT to acquire Wilson, Doumit and Marte

ya thats why i wouldnt want to deal with Beane and the A's. I'd love to see Bedard here, but i read he's gonna cost much more than santana in terms of prospects.

i think if the sox really want to get another top notch starter, it has to be santana. the A's want 2 of lester/buchholz/ellsbury for haren and the orioles would probally want 2 also, maybe even all 3 for bedard. Ben sheets? way to injury prone, just like Harden or Prior. Santana could be had for 1 and even possibly none of the 3. i dont get how that works, that the best pitcher in baseball can be had cheaper than those 2 guys, who are very good, but not as good as santana. as long as he gets an extension, he'd be an absolute steal.
