  1. Arroyo really isnt need with all the pitching the Red Sox have. Pena adds depth to an OF which really didnt have any other than Dustan Mohr and possible Juan Gonzalez. Pena is a young guy with so much power potential. I think he'll turn out to be a 35-40 HR guy in the next couple of years.
  2. id rather have nixon and pena split time this year, and have pena take over full time next year. ALSO, in the foxsports article it says Pena averaged a HR every 16 AB's, i think playing in the AL and at Fenway Park could bring that down to 14-15 which if he had 550 AB's would be 35+ HR.
  3. some quotes from his agent...
  4. rotoworld-- heres the link if you can read spanish http://www.endi.com/2006/03/19/deportes/386836.asp?category=Deportes&title=Firma+Igor+con+los+Medias+Rojas&artdate=2006/03/19
  5. @ Texas April 3- Curt Schilling vs Kevin Millwood April 4- Tim Wakefield vs Adam Eaton April 5- Josh Beckett vs Vicente Padilla @ Baltimore April 7- Matt Clement vs Daniel Cabrera April 8- Curt Schilling vs Bruce Chen April 9- Tim Wakefield vs Rodrigo Lopez Toronto April 11- Josh Beckett vs AJ Burnett if healthy April 12- David Wells vs Ted Lilly April 13- Matt Clement vs Gustavo Chacin thats my guess at the starters for the first 3 series.
  6. i dont want to ruin his career, but id rather see someone else on the mound other than Burnett (or halladay) when the redsox play Toronto
  7. rotoworld unfortunately, it looks like he'll be fine
  8. redick doesnt have nearly as good ball-handling skills as AI either. Redick just a sharp-shooter who i think might be a nice fit on the celtics who could use a young shooter
  9. my pats mock draft 1. Bobby Carpenter—OLB 2. Jonathan Joseph–CB 3a. Leon Williams–MLB 3b. Jeff Webb–WR 4a. Fred Matua–G 4b. Le Kevin Smith–DT 5. Brandon Marshall–WR 6. Tyrone Culver–S 7. Barrick Nealy–QB i think it does a pretty good job filling holes and brings in some good potential.
  10. id gladly take Lendale white. one of the most underrated RB's in the draft.
  11. that is a really nice stadium. I like the idea of having all that stuff in CF. The pool, picnic tables, etc. That would be a very good stadium for the fans
  12. damnit i picked winthrop to beat tennessee
  13. 1. LaMarcus Aldridge 2. Rudy Gay 3. Adam Morrison 8-15. JJ Redick
  14. do the pats know that they have been allowed to meet with FA since last Friday. They havnt had 1 meeting and they havnt had any interest in re-signing anyone as of now. I would bet Minnesota puts alot of money on Neal. They came into the offseason needing to bolster there o-line and could by signing Neal and Hutchinson.
  15. T.O. and Keyshawn Johnson were released today
  16. updated the list. The Pats have to be 1 of the only teams not to make a move yet. It doesnt sound like they have any FA in their plans either, except for Vernon Hayes.
  17. Former Pat LB Matt Chatham signed with the Jets. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/
  18. just noticed that all of Ortiz's hits in the WBC have been HR's. he and pujols have been pretty inconsitent in the tournament so far.
  19. Boston Globe--
  20. i like what the redskins have done so far. They've vastly overpaid for guys, but there team should look good next year. Adding, Archuleta, Carter, Randle El, Fauria and trading for Lloyd should help them offensively and defensively
  21. Made updates to the FA signings. Pats made their first move since free agency started, releasing LB Chad Brown. He was a big dissapointment last year.
  22. If Hutchinson goes to Minny, they will have a pretty sick o-line. Birk, Hutchinson, Mckinnie would be a huge help to whoevers running the ball for them. Rams signed Will Witherspoon to a six year deal. He was probably the best LB available
  23. Moss, Lloyd, Randle El is a solid WR core. This should help Moss alot now that teams have to worry about 2 other wideouts. Is Brunell still the starting QB in washington? Id like to see Cambell get a shot.
  24. The Vikings signed Steve Hutchinson to an offer sheet. The seahawks have 7 days to match the offer which is supposedly a ridiculous amount of money (49 million for 7 years).
