  1. hes a better baserunner than stern and can play any position but C and P. Hes perfect to have on the bench as a late game pinch runner or defensive replacement. Stern needs to be playing somewhere and it isnt in Boston as long as Coco's healthy. I like the move, but id rather it would have happened after Crisp comes back.
  2. gonzalez is mark bellhorn of '04, minus 100 walks and minus 50 k's what about possibly getting a guy like Cesar Izturis, when comes of the DL?
  3. wats the over/under on how many batters Kazmir hits tonight? i think he'll hit atleast 2
  4. pedro, greenwell, oleary, naehring, and daubach are mine
  5. stern is the better fielder, but doesnt have better speed than Willie Harris. But like most of you have said, Stern is the better option in CF untill Crisp comes back
  6. hes a fat, lazy s*** who doesnt really care about pitching anymore. I also hate how hes injured all the time. Id rather have Dinardo as the 5th starter than Wells
  7. hopefully they can test Wigginton by hitting some balls of the monster, sown the line and in the left-center gap
  8. that would make the most sense, even though wigginton shouldnt be in the OF at all. Is Gomes really that bad of an OF? according to MLB.com Wiggintons in LF and Gathright in CF
  9. Ty Wiggington is in center??? he has never played CF in his MLB career, let alone only 2 games in LF back in the 90's. Hes also a very slow runner who has little range
  10. i think based on his first game and tonights game, clement should be limited to 6-7 innings and 80-90 pitches. He let up 3 runs in his last inning today and 4 against baltimore in his last inning also. You take away the Toronto game and hes really pitched well so far this year.
  11. i think we can put this thread to rest now that manny's regained his swing Mannys starting to be Manny again
  12. heres a list of all the early entries so far http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2006/news/story?id=2412474
  13. Stinnett said that he thinks Randys going through a "dead-arm period" from Stinnett--
  14. ill go with a random one....Brian Daubach
  15. anyone who saw the game, did RJ look like he was hurt or did he just pitch awful? What was different about him today then him opening day?
  16. it was way off, on most of papelbons fastballs it said 85-88. The fastball Gathright struck out on was 96 according to Remy.
  17. for this year, id rather have gotten Kearns instead of Willy Mo. Kearns is better defensively and is a better option to platoon with Nixon. But Willy Mo has more potential for the long term.
  18. id say my stance is like Derek Lee's, but a little less open than his pitching motion is kind of like Brad Penny
  19. Kapler will be behind Willy Mo and Mohr on the depth chart when he comes back anyway.
  20. ya patriots day games are always fun
  21. thank god for Youks hustle down the line to just barely beat that throw to first.
  22. Walkoff Babyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. aaahhhhhhhhhhh so closeee damn ichiro
  24. the usual 85-87 fastball, 72-75 changeup
