  1. 700, Pineiro seems to be getting his act together but he still worries me. Those last three years have been disastrous and I wonder if he has much left in his tank. What I'm hoping is that he might be the kind of pitcher who thrives when he has to face batters only once before they zero in on him.
  2. First of all *******, the Dodger fans you talk about didn't come on here last time after the Red Sox-Dodger game because of me, so stick that one in your diddy bag. Secondly, some of them were here long before I came on this board like EZ, Moose and a few others. The moderators who back me up earned by thanks because they knew I wasn;t trying to cause any crap around here. One other thing Canadian, I don't need some crud from north of the border questioning my loyalty to the Red Sox. I could discuss this with in Fort Myers in a week but you won't be there. I could discuss this with you at Fenway Park during the home opener series, but you won't be there either. I could also discuss this with you at Yankee Stadium or San Diego in June, but you won;t be there either. Maybe at Fenway in September when the Yankees come back, but, no you won't be there as well. Some great Red Sox fan you are bagging on me and questioning by Red Sox pedigree but never showing your pathetic face at any of those venues. Young punk, you're all talk, all buillshit and this is the last time I will have anything to say to a pissant like you. Since you enjoyed reading that stuff that was on that Dodger Board, I suggest you go on there and get your jollies. However, let me advise you that most of the guys there have a hell of a lot more class than you do. Now buzz off and do not ever send me a message again.
  3. I just gave it up for Lent, two weeks late but still a month of having to forego something that I usually crave. Thankss for setting everyone straight Coco. I could have offered to treat VASox to a beer but to offer a lady something like that sounded tacky to me. But if he wants a brewski, it is still on me. On to another less creepy matter. In the LA Papers this morning it said how Pena, Varitek and Hinske all connected for booming homers, none of them cheapies. I know Jason was in a slump so that was good news, Pena for breaking out of a mild spring slump, and Hinske for doing something besides hearing from Francona what a great guy he is to have on the team. I guess I'm one of the rare fans who think that what transpires in the Grapefruit League DOES bear a relationship to what could happen during the regular season, rainout or not it was good to see three of our guys take the Dodger pitcher deep.
  4. Well thank you very much my dear; that was very white of you. I tried numerous times on the MLB Red Sox Board.....No luck. I tried watching the two ESPN stations with their scores on the bottom of the screen.......No luck. Now if I would have gone to the sources you went do I would have found it, but since you are so much smarter than I am I needed you to save my bacon. I am indebted to you and I will treat you to an ice cream bar when we run into each other in a couple of weeks. You do like ice cream, don't you?
  5. s*** RSR, you don't even know me and you HATE me? How the hell can that be, especially when you were born my favorite year, 1973? Hate's a bad word.
  6. I'm telling Bill O'Reilly on you.
  7. Thanks RSR; I had a feeling the game might have been held up but I saw no scores posted on the bottom of the ESPN channels so I was in the dark. At least we won't have to worry about our Dodger friends coming on and teasing the hell out of us. Damn, though, it would have been great to finish the game and take care of them so I could at least beard some of my Dodger neighbors on my block out here. BTW, are you the guy who is going down to Fort Myers next week? I know VASox fan will be there but I was sure someone else from this board was flying down as well. I thought it was One Red Seat but he said no. That's what I get for using the delete post option every day.
  8. Quite a pissing contest we're now having CB. Yes, I know what you're talking about and it might be a good idea of getting your mind out of the sewer into the light of day. I have never met teenagers at Fenway but red blooded Red Sox fans who I have met on the various boards I post on. Now start acting like Lincoln who birthdate you share and show some good cheer about the Red Sox and leave the other garbage out. Show some of that cheer by telling me what the hell happened to the game today. I can't get it anywhere, even the Dodger station out here. In my best Lincoln tradition, have a nice day and a great weekend.
  9. Gentlemen, just a heads-up to all of you. Spring Training game or not, I think it would be a good idea for the Red Sox to go out there and win this game today. Remember last time we played the Dodgers? We lost and the whole train of their fans came on here to give us the business, mostly good naturedly from where I sit. Maybe we can return the favor if they come on again. If we blow another game to the Dodgers, their fans can claim bragging rights for the Spring and whether the games count or not, it is still bragging rights. As I recall, some of you were not very happy to see them come on and get our goats. Surprisingly it didn't bother me a bit, but it might a little this time. GO RED SOX--------please.
  10. I notice in your profile you claim to be 65 years old. Try shocking the hell out of us and start acting your age and put your filthy mouth on hold. I might even cut you some slack since you share the same birthday as my greatest hero Abraham Lincoln. That you do should inspire you to mend your ways. And lay off my pal Ex.
  11. You notice that, too, Ex? Whoever changed his release point and delivery last spring ought to be run out of Fort Myers on a rail. Hansen has no follow through, cannot bend his back, and there is no movement on this pitches. He looked like s*** tonight. I wonder if the ******* who worked with him is still employed by the Red Sox.
  12. :o :o Ex, I live in the LA area and in early 2003 Green hurt his shoulder and it seemed to rob him of his power. He went from being a 40+ homer man to one who is lucky to hit between 20-25. You would think his shoulder would have healed by now but the power seems to have permanently vanished..
  13. No Animal, that is not going to happen. J.D. is going to have his best years in Boston. You have been listening to those damn Cardinal, Brave and Dodger fans bitter that they saw the guy move on. Too many people are underestimating what this guy is going to do for us.
  14. Adam, remember Pride cometh before the fall. If the Crisp trade turns out to be a mistake then we have to admit it and move on. If Epstein tries to justify the trade by holding back Ellsbury and forcing Crisp down our throats he will have the house fall on him. If Coco does well and recovers he will be good trade bait when JE is ready; if he doesn't he will be a average trade bait for something.
  15. If the scenario you outlined in your last paragraph would happen to be true, then we could all say that Epstein is just plain stupid and idiotic. Since I don't think that's the case (yet) I have to believe that Ellsbury takes over CF in 2008 or earlier if he plays well at Pawtucket this season. I think they are holding Pena for Manny's spot unless the Red Sox prematurely work something out with Ramirez to pick up his two year option before the end of 2008, which then would mean Pena is gone. There is no way the Red Sox would dare waste Ellsbury like that especially when it appears Crisp seems to be going in reverse with his lousy spring. One correction, we have TWO power hitters in the low minors. You forgot about Jason Place, our No. 1 draft choice last June. He projects as a helluva good young prospect-----hopefully, he develops into one. :D :D
  16. ksushi, I'll give you this. You're one helluva upbeat guy. Well, our relief pitching has gotten a lot better the past few games. Hell, it is our hitting that is a little off right now. In my opinion, though, if we can get our bullpen straightened out we have as good a chance as anyone in our league of getting to the WS. The problem? We have aboutfive or six teams in our league who could win as many as 90 games and like you I don't want to be washed out of the Playoffs this year. I'm optimistic our hitting and starting pitching will pave the way if only our bullpen will come through. Isn't that how you see it?
  17. MANNYHOF, the drinks are on me if your turn out to be right on the guy. I think most of the guys here will keep you drunk the whole next off season. If he does that we get in the World Series.
  18. Well VA, my wife will NOT go to a Red Sox game with me when they play out here in Anaheim so that should tell you something. Wanna know something else? I am 66 years old and ever since I found the Red Sox I am a kid again. A certifiable nut about our team; even got pissed off hearing them unable to get that tieing run home this afternoon against the Pirates. I sometimes wonder if I would still be alive if I had been rooting for the Red Sox as long as the rest of you. Don't forget, section 24 and 22. I guarantee you will spot me a mile away.
  19. I thought it was ORS, but apparently I have had another senior moment. Now I do have you straight, right? I will see you down there, or did I screw this one up, too. :o
