  1. Definatly the most anticipated game of the year
  2. I imagine the Dodgers would be the most likely team to acquire him, McCourt would want another arm to bolster the rotation in hopes to help bring them out of another disspointing season, Jsinger's right, it's all about the prospects.
  3. EEI reported a few days ago the Marlins would only look to deal Willis to either the Dodgers, Brewers, or D-backs if in fact they can come to terms on a deal. $4,350,000 out of a total $14,344,500 payrol Willis takes up the Marlins would have Brian Moehler as the highest payed at 1,500,000.
  4. every has a bad day at the office now and then
  5. He makes it to 300 wins by age 40 easily if he keeps it going, he 34 now and at 203. I don't forsee him pitching past the end of his tenure with the Mets but you never know. Minaya was smart to grab him up when he could, Theo was an idiot to let him go. And the fastball isn't as electric as it was before he tore the rotater cuff, he still hits 96 every now and then. Good pitching is hard to find
  6. Shame on the organization for not doing what they could to get him back
  7. Anything short of an all out standing ovation for him is not enough, one of the greatest players the Red Sox will ever have, nuff said.
  8. O yea I've hear schilling is an ******* to people that ask for autographs, that comes straight from the Sportsworld store in Saugus, those guys practically know everyone on the team and have stated before that schilling and wakefield are among the worst when it comes to dealing with fans
  9. Yea when's a good time at fenway to get autographs cause nobody ever signs, They used to after the games at the gate where the players leave but even that doesnt happen anymore.
  10. the chant is really immature of us at this point, the dumbass antics people put on at damon's return only proves further we arent the greatest fans at times
  11. He's better than the dipshit he was traded away for, dont' forget how kim had the balls to flip off the crowd, A real class act, I'd take shea back in a heartbeat
  12. I suppose it's just part of the business in getting ahead, Hazel does a good job cant argue with that
  13. Nobody's perfect, he gave up his first run, i still say he's got the best chance so far
  14. Those of us that were there last night and had the dickless minds to make disparaging comments about his wife are the drunken *******s that give fans around here a bad name, no wonder why he didn't want her anywhere near it all, I can't say as I blame him.
  15. ok, I know its early but maybe he is starting to live up to his anticipation. It doesn't look like any coincidence that he's been lights out so far. My question is, though it isn't technically his "rookie" season, could he still potentially win it, given the fact that this is his first full season.I like his fantasy comparison too, although in the spectrum of things, and especially this early in the season it really doesn't mean much: Jonathan Papelbon 349.5 Pedro Martinez 314 Greg Maddux 304.5 Billy Wagner 287 Bronson Arroyo 279
  16. how bout manny playing "I get high" by styles P in 2002 when he got up to bat.
  17. Hence my forum name
  18. I can't disagree with you there, I think we can all agree with what the commercial with the white statue says.
  19. Traitors to the game of baseball and to professional sports in general.
  20. Pedro is unique because he did essentially do what Johnny did (aside from the yankee part), however unlike johnny Pedro, what he did for us outweighs what he did by signing somewhere else. For seven years he anchored this pitching staff and did amazing things for us, sure johnny helped, and no bigger than in game seven of the ALCS but you can't take away what pedro did. hes forever idolized in Boston
  21. well you already got a few, the guys that stuck needles in eachother count as traitors in my mind.
  22. anybody see this one?? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8547285560243429315&q=1986&pl=true depressing end but i still think it's cool
  23. Tom Brunansky was good when he was here too, never forget that diving catch to clinch to 1990 AL East if I remember correctly?
  24. He impresses me as the type of guy that won't be persuaded to come back, once his mind is made up that's it. We are gonna need a new ace
