  2. We'll never know.
  3. You contradicted yourself in back to back sentences.
  4. I've been here before today, but whatever makes you feel good.
  5. So you are assuming with a different runner/otu situation, Wakefield throws the same pitch, in the same count, and Sheff reacts the same way? You guys just can't give A-Rod credit huh? If you lost why does it matter who beats you?
  6. The Red Sox best pitcher just got destroyed in the biggest game of the year, the Red Sox have more worries in their starting rotation then the Yankees do, Arroyo and Clement can be shelled at any time, espeically Clement, Schilling may pull something out of his ass, but he's not gonna be Curt Schilling pre-ankle injury. Our top 5 pitchers are 55-24 by comparison.
  7. 3 runs in 6.2 inning, terrible. He got squeezed and didn't exactly get much help from his teammates.
  8. Exactly if he pops up in the first the Yankee probably lose.
  9. He was 4 for 5 in the biggest game of the year. End of story.
  10. How did that work out for you?
  11. Yup A-Rod 4 for 5, Ortez owned by Johnson.
  12. Why would you acquire someone for 3 games? Sox already have Myers as the LOOGY anyone.
  13. Be careful what you wish for, the dude seems to have ice in his veins, he seems obvilious to pressure.
  14. It's about wins and losses, losing 7-2 is no different from 17-9.
  15. Which is why he has a lower era than every Sox starter except Wakefield, and that's only a .05 difference?
  16. Jays don't seem to have many problems scoring runs...
  17. The O's only bought 1 run tonight, so much for the "wholesale discount"
  18. Timlin lets way too many inheirted runners score. For comparsion I think Rivera has stranded all but one runner this year.
  19. Perivcal. True this isn't much blocking Hansen, and I doubt the Sox would make a play for Ryan or Wagner knowing they have Hansen. The Boston pen has been pretty bad this year (although the Yankees aren't any better after the 1-2 punch, I hope Cox and some of other minor league relievers can help us soon) so he will probably be relied upon next year.
  20. Oh ok next season would probably work out, although I'm sure at 22 (?) he would still need some polish, most closers are set up men for a couple of years first, so might go through some growing pains.
  21. Kind of funny considering Boston's the town with the reputation for drunks, however unfounded it may be.
  22. Craig Hansen closing games now would be a mistake. What if he becomes Boston's new goat? It could forever shatter his confidence.
  23. I agree. Although "yankthis" (yank what, who has a sexaully suggestive sn on a baseball website, but I digress) isn't representing his kind too well.
